This position provides support, mentoring, education, skill-building, advocacy, and youth-guided programming to persons receiving services at the Community Drop-In Youth TAY Center located in the Behavioral Health Division at the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency. The incumbent will work as part of Behavioral Health with the Transition Age Youth Team delivering outreach/engagement and supportive service to youth and families on school campuses, in the community, and/or at the TAY Center. Individuals between the ages of sixteen and twenty-four (16-24) years of age are encouraged to apply. This position is at-will, temporary, part-time and scheduled for up to twenty-five (25) hours per week.  
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Model unconditional commitment to assisting the TAY consumers in “tough time”, “over the long haul” and to do “whatever it takes” to provide service to the client/consumer.
• Perform group education for clients/consumers and/or support persons and provide ongoing support as needed.
• Be available for TAY consumers, in the event of a crisis, for support.
• Set up, prepare, and plan events for TAY consumers and TAY drop-in center guests.
• Represent concerns of the TAY consumers in policy and program planning meetings.
• Coordinate activities with other agencies/individuals engaged in providing or developing support for the TAY consumers who are in the program.
• Make program presentations to community stakeholders and groups.
• Participate in gathering information regarding satisfaction with services and recommendations regarding ways to improve services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION:

• Basic computer and effective verbal and written communication preferred. 
• Able to assist in the efforts to help reduce negative stigma towards those individuals with mental health issues or concerns. 
• Have knowledge of time management and problem-solving skills and able to maintain and honor all levels of confidentiality.

The County of Yuba is recruiting for both Extra-Help and Full-Time Juvenile Corrections Officers I/II, in an effort to fill current vacancies and expand staffing levels. These positions are located on the Tri-County Youth Rehabilitation Campus which falls under the Juvenile Institutions Division of the Yuba County Probation Department.  The primary responsibilities of this flexibly staffed position are to: provide care, custody, supervision, and control of youth housed in the secured detention facilities while they are pending legal action or serving a post adjudication commitment; ensure and sustain a safe and secure environment for youth; and coordinate counseling and behavior modification activities associated with the operation of the facilities.

About Detention Services & Yuba County:

Our Department believes people can change and we can be instrumental in supporting that change.  We are  a small workplace family that supports one another to accomplish our mission and allow our team members to live full lives outside the workplace. Our Campus provides youth detention services to the communities of Yuba, Sutter, and Colusa Counties as well as several contract counties through our Camp Singer program.  We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and includes the Tri-County Juvenile Hall, Secure Housing Unit, and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center (Camp Singer), under a Joint Powers Agreement between the three counties. The City of Dixon is recruiting to fill a full-time position of a Community Service Officer I/II and to establish an Eligibility List for future use. Duties include a wide variety of professional law enforcement functions which do not require peace officer training, including youth services, crime prevention, records management, property and evidence management, information gathering and report writing, code enforcement, office support, operation of jail facilities and parking and traffic control.

The City of Auburn is hiring for the seasonal, part-time Bus Driver I position in the Auburn Transit Department.

Auburn Transit is looking for qualified individuals to join our transit team. These positions are seasonal, part-time and each has a maximum of 999 hours of work per fiscal year. The incumbent's schedule will be flexible, based on the needs of the department, community transit needs and employee availability.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

This position operates a variety of transit and General Public Paratransit (GPPV) vehicles to transport passengers in a safe, courteous and reliable manner. The incumbent will learn all transit laws, operating procedures and policies. 

Auburn Transit provides fixed and on-demand transportation services to the community. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

The Bus Driver I is an entry-level classification responsible for routine tasks and operation of specific transit vehicles. It is essential incumbents learn all transit laws, operating procedures and policies. The role is performed under direct supervision from the Transportation Supervisor or designee and does not involve supervision over other staff.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

The following duties are typical for this classification. Actual work may vary based on department needs or change due to evolving business practices.

• Operates a bus or other General Public Paratransit (GPPV) vehicles on City streets and highways in all weather conditions to transport passengers on established routes with designated stops, on-demand rideshare services, field trips and special events.
• Ensures passenger safety by observing passenger behavior, verifying safety belts are secured and rendering aid to passengers in an emergency.
• Assists passengers boarding and deboarding as needed or requested, including senior citizens, individuals with disabilities and care-dependent persons.
• Operates a smart device and two-radio to respond to transit dispatch and on-demand rideshare requests requiring adjustments to existing schedules and routes.
• Operates automatic wheelchair lifts, collects fares, issues passes, secures wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
• Promptly notifies management and completes reports regarding accidents and incidents involving vehicles and passengers.
• Conducts mandatory daily pre-trip vehicle inspections adhering to state and city regulations before each route, including reporting inspection results, daily trip logs, and required vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Performs minor maintenance, repair and cleaning of transit vehicles and fleet storage facility.
• Adheres to all public transit federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.
• Maintains a valid California driver’s license and passenger certifications required by the state vehicle code, Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Transportation and other applicable standards.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

The Substance Use Disorder Counselor I/II position is located in the Behavioral Health division at the Health and Human Services Agency. This position performs a variety of para-professional and responsible eligibility determination and case management duties for alcohol and drug programs, including crisis services to individuals; and performs related duties as assigned. The Substance Use Disorder Counselor II is the full journey-level class within series and performs the full range of duties as assigned, responsible for direct client contact in the provision of case management including complex cases. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Performs client intake procedures, eligibility determinations and establishes case loads and services for programs in drug and alcohol, specialized programs, grant funded programs, and other health and human services programs.
• Maintains Glenn County drug and alcohol specialized programs, grant funded programs caseloads under the supervision of a health services program coordinator or HHSA program manager.
• Communicates with clients; determines eligibility, educates clients regarding various health services, social services, grant funded and specialized programs and recommends other sources of services for those not eligible.
• Tracks, documents, and prepares information for appropriate billing for services; maintains established productivity rates for a variety of health services programs.

The Fiscal Analyst I/II/III position at the Glenn County Community Action Division, performs varied and complex professional accounting and financial analysis work relating to various grants and programs; fiscal and contract management; fiscal program analysis and compliance; prepares analytical, narrative, statistical, accounting and financial reports; develops and monitors budgets; prepares financial statements and reports, and related duties as assigned. Fiscal Analyst II is the journey-level classification in the series and is distinguished from the Fiscal Analyst I by the responsibility and working independently with minimal supervision. Fiscal Analyst III is the advanced level and supervisory classification in the series, and is distinguished from Fiscal Analyst I/II by the performance of the most complex accounting and analytical work within the assigned department. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provides information for and prepares periodic accounting, fiscal reports, and analysis to internal units, federal, state, and local agencies and/or to private auditing firms as required by governing agencies.

The Extra Help Employee - Clinical Nurse position will be housed with the Health and Human Services Agency in the Behavioral Health division. This is a journey-level technical classification. Positions at this level work independently while exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise, and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. This position is scheduled for up to twenty fine (25) hours per week.

JOB DUTIES

• Conducts immunization and flu vaccination clinics for children and adults on-site and in community settings.

The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the classification of Correctional Officer.  Under continuing supervision incumbents perform a wide variety of support in two areas: corrections, in which incumbents ensure the security, safety and care of individuals in custody; and bailiff, in which incumbents ensure the safety and security of the courts and their personnel during court proceedings; and perform related work as assigned. The Yuba County Sheriff's Department is responsible for the administration of the Yuba County Jail and Jail staff. The Mission of the Yuba County Jail is to provide safe, efficient, humane and secure custody of all persons incarcerated. The county prisoner population is made up of those who are sentenced to county jail, those serving state prison sentences in the county jail under AB109, and those who are pre-trial and who have not yet been sentenced. The jail provides a necessary link in the criminal justice system. There are numerous programs operating within the facility including medical, kitchen, exercise, commissary, visiting, law library, inmate education, work programs, work furlough program, and inmate classification.
