Under general direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Manager oversees and coordinates the day-to-day human resources operations and is expected to perform professional human resources and administrative work. The Human Resources Manager manages, reviews and evaluates the work of subordinate staff.
THE POSITION
Under administrative direction, the City Engineer plans, organizes, coordinates and directs all Engineering Division activities of the various functional units including capital project design and construction administration, development review, traffic engineering, signal and streetlight maintenance and storm water program administration; provides professional assistance to City staff in areas of responsibility; performs related work as required.

The City of Fremont is seeking a full-time Urban Forestry Service Corps Supervisor. This position is temporary, starting January 6, 2025, and ending December 19, 2025. This position works five days a week supervising and instructing small cohorts of Urban Forestry Service Corps members through a combination of in-class learning and in-the-field service projects. This position reports to the city Urban Forestry Manager.
