The Position
Under general supervision, protects life and property; performs law enforcement and crime prevention duties; controls traffic flow and regulations; enforces State, Federal and Local laws and performs related duties as required. Compensation:
Police Officer Trainee: $6,668.53 - $6,997.47 monthly
Police Officer: $9,113.87 - $10,998.00 monthly

POLICE OFFICER
(ACADEMY GRADUATE / ACADEMY PARTICIPANT/ FTO)
Candidates must have successfully completed a California POST approved Basic Police Academy with a valid California POST Academy Certificate; OR Currently attending a POST approved Basic Police Academy and/or has been accepted to a POST approved Basic Police Academy.
To be considered for this position, candidates must submit a 1) City of Santa Clara Employment Application and 2) Proof of completion of a Basic Peace Officer Academy certified by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) OR proof of completion of Level 1 Reserve Peace Officer POST Regular Basic Course (Reserve Police Officers Only). Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
POLICE COMMUNICATIONS DISPATCHER
$6,419 - $8,193 per month (DOE/DOQ)
