The San Rafael Public Library is hiring Teen Interns (2 Positions Available) for the Summer Lunch at the Library Program.  This important initiative helps ensure that youth in the City of San Rafael have access to free, healthy lunches throughout the summer.  As a Lunch at the Library Intern, you will support a variety of program activities while working under the direction of library staff, gaining valuable experience and contributing to your community.  All City of San Rafael teens age 16-18 are encouraged to apply.  NO PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

The Teen Intern is an energetic and dependable individual who enjoys engaging with diverse children an families (ages 0-12) and teens (ages 12-18).  The Teen Intern will arrive on time with a positive attitude, is able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, communicate well with library staff and community members, and is open to learning new skills.  They are willing to begin and end each workday at the library, participate in off-site outreach, assist in preparing and breaking down materials for each shift, and help track program statistics.  Above all, they foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, ensuring all community members feel accepted at the library.

This position performs the following essential job duties (including but not limited to):

• Attend orientations and trainings.
• Set up pop-up outreach site, track book distribution, and lead interactive off-site program.
• Promote the library's Summer Reading Challenge.
• Lead activities with children and parents.
• Lunch at the Library is a joint partnership between the library and a federally funded program.  Teen interns will be expected to learn and adhere to all Federal guidelines, as well as San Rafael Public Library policies and procedures.

• June 15, 2026 to August 7, 2026
• Required Schedule:  Monday thru Friday - 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• The total time commitment is 10 hours of required training and 60 hours of regularly scheduled shifts over 7 weeks.

Position Duties:

Salary Range

The Assistant Director salary range is currently $178, 713.34 - $288, 700.62. Placement within this range will be dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the individual selected. This salary includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. The salary is supplemented by an attractive benefits package. 

The Position

TOWN MANAGER - TOWN OF LOOMIS

The Town Council of the Town of Loomis, California (population 6,800) is seeking an energetic and engaging individual with a commitment to public service to become its new Town Manager. The Town Manager directs, coordinates, and manages the overall administrative   activities and operations of the Town and advises and assists the Town Council while exercising significant independent judgment and initiative. SRFECC is preparing for a Dispatcher Academy, beginning February 2026! As a Dispatcher I, you will be a key player in the public safety network, managing both emergency and non-emergency calls. Your role involves receiving critical information, dispatching appropriate Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) resources, providing live-saving instructions, relaying facts, and ensuring effective communication throughout the incident. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals with no prior public safety dispatching experience. Advancement to Dispatcher II is expected within two years, and offers greater responsibility and higher pay.

This position requires the ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and think quickly during emergency situations. Shift work is required, and you must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch Operations:

• Operate a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) console with a multi-line telephone system, radio console, and office computer terminal.

THE POSITION: The Dixon Police Department is recruiting to fill full-time Police Officer positions at either the Academy Graduate Level or Lateral Level, as well as establish an employment eligibility list for future possible use. The City offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for qualified applicants pursuing a law enforcement career. Dixon Police Officers are responsible for a wide variety of generalist police services. Opportunities for specialization and advancement are also available. The Dixon Police Department operates on a 12-hour shift schedule.

SELECTION PROCESS:  Apply immediately and include all required documents at the time application is submitted.  Applications and supplemental questions will be reviewed and screened, and the most qualified candidates will be invited to continue in the examination process. The process includes a Personal History Statement (PHS) review, interview, Poly exam, extensive personal background investigation, credit history, pre-employment medical, with drug test, and psychological assessments.

Failure of any component during the exam process eliminates the candidate from further selection processing.

EMPLOYMENT PROCESSING:  All appointees are required to complete a field training program and successfully complete an 18-month probationary period, and in accordance with Federal law, are to provide proof of identity and proof that they may legally work in the United States.
