The Position

Reporting directly to the City Manager, the Administrative Services Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the City’s Human Resources and Information Technology Divisions.

The Director plays a critical role in shaping Belmont’s organizational future—championing initiatives that build workforce capability, strengthen digital infrastructure, and advance a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation.

Assistant Public Works Director- City Engineer
$ 178,065 - 227,261 annually*

The Community Development Department includes the Planning and Building divisions and works closely with the Housing and Economic Development team in the City Manager’s office. The Community Development leadership team is committed to providing training and growth opportunities for staff. About the Finance Department 
Belmont’s Finance Department manages an annual citywide budget of roughly 94 million including both operating and capital budgets. What you will do 
You will work on a wide range of accounting responsibilities that keep the City running smoothly: maintaining financial records, supporting the annual audit, preparing reports for departments and outside agencies, reconciling accounts and helping staff with budget and expenditure questions. Senior level candidates may also take on complex assignments and provide guidance to other staff. You will work closely with a dedicated Finance team and report directly to the Accounting Manager.

The City of Belmont is looking for a caring, creative, and energetic Preschool Teacher to join our team. In this role, you’ll create a safe and welcoming environment where children can explore, play, and build important skills for their future. What You’ll Do

• Plan and lead engaging lessons, games, and art projects for preschool-aged children
• Teach basic skills such as colors, shapes, and the alphabet, while helping children develop social skills

What We’re Looking For

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and coworkers
• High school diploma plus college coursework in early childhood development or a related field
• Minimum of 12 units of coursework in Early Childhood Education required; 24 units preferred
• Ability to maintain CPR and First Aid certification, renewed every two years

• Must pass a health screening and TB test

San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department

Building Attendant I/II

Part-Time Position - No Benefits

Approximately 20 hours per week - Evenings & Weekends
 (Not to exceed 1,000 hours in a fiscal year)

The Belmont Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting for part-time Building Attendants. Building Attendants provide operational supervision of facilities during the absence of full-time staff.

Building Attendant I - This is the entry level class in the Building Attendant series.  Incumbents in this class work under close supervision.  As experience is gained, incumbents may be granted more independence of action under established guidelines.

Building Attendant II - This is the journey level class in the Building Attendant series. Incumbents are expected to work independently in the absence of close supervision.
