The Judicial Council of California is accepting applications for the position of Senior Fiscal Analyst in the State Budget unit of the Budget Services Sacramento office.

The Senior Fiscal Analyst provides advanced, complex, and specialized analytical and technical budget support to the Judicial Council Facilities Services Capital Outlay program. This position provides fiscal oversight for capital outlay projects and manages the ongoing project close-out activities. Fiscal oversight responsibilities include analyzing and preparing statewide budget reports for management, controlling capital outlay appropriations, reviewing and coding requisitions, preparing and reviewing Capital Outlay budget change proposals (COBCPs), reviewing the updated five-year capital outlay plan, and managing the bond sale process. The position conducts monthly fiscal forecasting for each project by appropriation, line item, and category of expense, that are completed three times a year for every project. RESPONSIBILITIES

The City of San Mateo Public Works Department is looking for Senior Engineers!

The Department?

The Public Works Department is comprised of Regulatory Compliance, Engineering, Field Maintenance, Facilities/Fleet, Wastewater Treatment, and Asset Management Divisions. The Position

One (1) vacancy will focus on general capital improvement projects (streets, storm, bridges, etc.), one (1) vacancy will focus on construction and maintenance of facilities at the wastewater treatment plant, and one (1) vacancy will focus on private development reviews.

The Senior Engineers in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) sections supervise and participate in the conduct of complicated engineering planning, design, and investigation activities. The Senior Engineer in the Development Services (DS) section will lead staff, consultants, and applicants through the private development permitting processes.

Some duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Supervise and participate in the development of designs, plans, specifications, and estimates for the construction of public works projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, construction managers, construction inspectors, and the design engineers to resolve issues during construction.
• Coordinate with the staff at the WWTP especially the Plant Manager, Operations Superintendent, and Maintenance Superintendent to make sure the WWTP operations and maintenance needs are incorporated into the projects as well as the impacts to ongoing operations during construction are considered and addressed.
• Inspect project sites to assist in solution of difficult problems; interpret specifications and City policy and make change orders.
• Review plans for construction prepared by private engineers.
• Check computations and specified materials for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Upgrade City standard plans and specifications; review subdivision and parcel maps.
• Serve as staff to a variety of City commissions, boards, and committees on public works engineering matters.
• Prepare periodic project status reports.
• Prepare various applications for state and federal grants.
• Review and make recommendations on technical reports and studies.
• Assist in the preparation of the capital improvement plan and budget.
• Participate in the selection and supervision of private professional engineers for the development of plans, specifications, studies, and reports.

The Position

The Position - Employees in this classification will be hired on a limited duration not to exceed two (2) years.

THE POSITION

Under general supervision of a Police Sergeant, the Reserve Police Officer is a sworn position assigned to field operations to patrol for the prevention and detection of crime and enforcement of laws and regulations within the philosophy of community oriented policing.  Incumbents are normally expected to solve most work problems independently and to refer to supervisory personnel only those matters which involve policy decisions, technical questions and unusual problems at the entry level and make recommendations at the advanced level.

There is no cash value associated with the benefit. No other benefits are offered. This position is at will and is not part of the City's Civil Service System. Salary: $23.27-$28.82 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
