We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, forward-thinking professional to join our team as Facility Maintenance Manager and lead our dynamic citywide facility maintenance program. In this pivotal role, you’ll work collaboratively with City staff, contractors, community partners, and public facility users with tact, discretion, and professionalism in every interaction. As our Facilities Maintenance Manager, you’ll take the helm in planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing both staff and operations of the Facilities Maintenance Division. Your strategic vision will drive long- and short-term project planning while you oversee the maintenance and repairs of municipal facilities. You’ll spearhead the development and maintenance of comprehensive asset management programs; optimize division resources to boost organizational productivity and customer service and serve as the go-to expert providing complex and strategic support in areas of expertise; and perform related work as required.

This dynamic management position empowers you to shape, evaluate, and elevate all programs, services, and activities within the Facilities Maintenance Division. The City of Sunnyvale is seeking a Senior Engineer to help manage design of a wide variety of capital improvement projects to update, modernize and improve City infrastructure. As the Senior Engineer, you will help us plan, design, and build infrastructure to support the City goals and objectives of creating a more sustainable, healthy, and livable Sunnyvale. The current open position is in the Department of Public Works Engineering Division and is with the design team in the Project Administration Section. Senior Engineers are working managers. The position primarily works on managing design of a wide variety of capital improvement projects, possibly including pavement rehabilitation, parks renovation and enhancements, or water and sewer utility projects. The position oversees consultants and leads a team of other City engineering staff.

The eligibility list created from this recruitment may be used for future Senior Engineer vacancies within the City.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in civil engineering or a related field, AND

Five years of increasingly responsible professional civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering experience, depending on assignment, including experience in a supervisory or project management role.

Licenses/Certificates

Possession of registration as a professional civil or structural engineer issued by the State of California.

The Dixon Fire Department is looking to fill one, full-time regular position of Fire Administrative Analyst. This position provides administrative support in the fire department environment including management of records; office management; reception; research; budget preparation; document preparation; project management; and supervision.

This is the primary administrative managerial position in the fire department environment, reporting directly to the Fire Chief. 3. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university plus at least one (1) year of law-related experience under the supervision of a licensed attorney. 5. A high school diploma or GED, plus at least three (3) consecutive years of law-related experience under the supervision of a licensed attorney. The law-related experience also must have been completed withing the four (4) years immediately prior to applying for the Paralegal position.

[1] The supervising and declaring attorney must be an active member of the California bar in good standing for at least the past three (3) years or must have practiced in the federal courts of California for at least the past three (3) years.

Highly Desirable Qualification(s):

• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and technology tools relevant to legal practice.

What You’ll Do 

• Serve as a vital liaison between the City Attorney’s Office and various City departments, facilitating the accurate and timely flow of information.
• Conduct fact investigations and perform foundational legal research to support casework.
• Draft and prepare legal correspondence, including notices, contracts, resolutions, ordinances, and discovery requests and responses.
• Monitor and maintain tracking systems for subpoenas, legal claims, and lawsuits, ensuring strict adherence to relevant deadlines
• Coordinate and process requests under the California Public Records Act.
• Provide informed guidance to City Staff and members of the public regarding the City’s legal processes and procedures.
• Manage and maintain confidential legal files and records.

Work Schedule 

This position is primarily onsite and requires in-office attendance five days per week for the first six months. Following six months of employment and a demonstrated record of exceptional performance, the Paralegal may be considered for a hybrid schedule, which includes the option to work remotely one day per week.
