The Challenge

As a Police Officer your duties will typically include patrolling assigned areas; interacting with the public; conducting criminal investigations; enforcing laws; investigating collisions; preserving the peace and writing reports. POLICE OFFICER

The City of Hayward is accepting application for Police Officer--Academy Graduates and Academy Participants. Police Officers at the City of Hayward perform a wide variety of law enforcement assignments including but not limited to: patrol, traffic control, criminal and juvenile investigation, and radio communication. DEFINITION

Project Name: Train Control Upgrade Project

The Transit Division is currently in the process of developing and procuring a new train control system, as well as streamlining operations at the new Transportation Management Center (TMC). The Program Delivery and Support Unit within the Transit Division was created in 2018 to oversee capital program and project budgets, manage vehicle and onboard equipment projects, testing and acceptance of rolling stock and technology projects that will deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions which improve safety and the Agency’s ability to deliver quality transit service. Within the Program Delivery and Support unit, the Transit Technology Group handles the delivery, acceptance, and management of technology systems which are critical to transit operations.

The Train Control Upgrade Project is an 8-year, multimillion dollar project with the goal of modernizing the existing Automatic Train Control System in Muni’s subway as well as expanding the supervision and limited control aspects of a Communication-Based Train Control System to the entire Muni light rail system.

Under the general direction of the Train Control Upgrade Project Manager, the Lead Project Engineer manages the Train Control Upgrade Project engineering team and acts as the SFMTA lead for the overall system design. The Lead Project Engineer assists the Project Manager with oversight duties related to project design and scheduling to facilitate the procurement, development, and maintenance of the future train control system. • Manages a team of SFMTA engineers assigned to the project, including vehicle engineers, electrical engineers, and traffic engineers;

3. Possession of a Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer (Electrical) in the State of California.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Public Administration, or a related field, from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Equivalent to at least four (4) years of increasingly responsible Analyst level experience in a Human Resources Department. Experience in a supervisory or lead capacity is desired. Additional education, such as a graduate degree in one of the above disciplines from an accredited college or university may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Desirable Experience: Experience in high level complex, high volume recruitments, and compensation analysis. Excellent communication skills and presentation skills, ability to develop strong rapport with hiring managers and provide outstanding customer service to internal and external clients. This position requires the incumbent to occasionally travel to District facilities, with the flexibility to work early mornings, late afternoons/evenings, and or on the weekends as needed for events at various District locations and in the community. Union experience is desirable but not required.

Job Description

Under general medical direction of the site medical director and/or Primary Care Chief Medical Officer, the 2230 Physician Specialist functions within an organized system for the delivery of health care in association with other members of the health care team and performs specialized duties in clinical settings.
