The City of Dixon is excited to announce the recruitment for the position of Transit Manager in the Transit Department. This individual will manage, direct and coordinate the activities and operations of the City's public transportation programs; ensure that programs comply with federal, state and local funding requirements and regulatory agency standards; provide complex and highly responsible assistance to the Public Works Director; and supervision to Transit staff.
Selection Procedure:

Exam Process:
A limited number of candidates whose applications demonstrate that they are among the best qualified based on related education, training, and experience will be invited to participate in the selection process. This may include one or more assessment components such as a written exam and/or performance exercise, and an oral board interview. NOTE: The examination process is subject to change as deemed necessary.
Employment Processing:
Those selected may be subject to DOJ Livescan (fingerprint) clearance, drug screen, and a background investigation. All appointees are required to successfully complete a 12-month probationary period, and in accordance with Federal law, are to provide proof of identity and proof that they may legally work in the United States.
