About the Department

Position Duties

The total hourly range for this classification is $21.48- $26.15/hour.

The Public Works Department is recruiting to fill several Event Services Representative (Recreation Leader – Part Time Unbenefited) positions to support the coordination of events occurring at City Hall. The position requires excellent judgment, initiative, independence, integrity, organizational skills, flexibility, and written and verbal communication skills.

Event Services Representatives assist in monitoring and providing customer/client support for special events. Event Services Representatives may be required to provide technical assistance and set up of equipment on day of event, assist in resolving customer issues and complaints, and respond to emergency situations during events. The on-site Event Services Representative coordinates with event staff such as ushers, ticket takers, security, crowd control, outside contractors, and performs facility safety checks which may include enforcing Safety and Fire Marshall Regulations.

Due to the nature of the job responsibilities, Event Services Representatives must be able to:

· Work extended/irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

· Stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.

· Lift and carry items weighing between 25 and 50 pounds on an as needed basis.

· Comprehend verbal and written instructions.

· Prepare event reports.

The City of Live Oak is seeking a team-oriented individual with municipal experience to lead the City’s Finance Department. Under direction of the City Manager, the Finance Director is charged with the responsibility of establishing and maintaining an accounting and financial system for the City of Live Oak in accordance with various legal requirements and generally accepted government accounting practices.

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Assume full management responsibility for all Finance Department Services and activities including general accounting functions, investment portfolio,  fiscal reporting, treasury, cash and debt management, utility billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, citations, business licensing, collections, taxes, internal accounting controls, external audit coordination, annual budget preparation, presentation, analysis, and update, any and all other related financial matters as they occur; recommend and administer policies and procedures; administer the day-to-day activities of the City’s insurance programs including health, liability, workers compensation, life, and casualty insurance. The City of Sunnyvale is seeking a division head-level Risk Manager to lead and guide the Risk Management Division. The Risk Manager will bring a dynamic, service-oriented and proactive approach to the City of Sunnyvale organization. The Position:

The Position:

The Senior Inspector is a supervisory classification responsible for performing the more complex building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical inspections and supervising and coordinating the work of less experienced inspectors and support staff. Depending on the area of expertise, each Senior Inspector may be assigned to one or more of the following Programs or specialties: Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Permit Center, and Code Enforcement. An incumbent in this classification is expected to perform as an expert and exercises considerable independent judgment in the performance of duties. This classification is distinguished from the Inspection Manager in that the latter is a management classification responsible for planning, directing, coordinating field inspections and technology projects of the Building Inspection Division in the Planning and Inspection.
