DEFINITION

Under general supervision from the Police Sergeant, to perform a variety of duties in law enforcement and crime prevention programs; to maintain order and a safe environment for the citizens of Wheatland; to participate in criminal investigations and crime prevention programs, and to provide a variety of duties relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level.

1. Patrol a designated area of the City to maintain law and order; respond to calls for service or prevent crime; response areas include accidents, burglaries, domestic disputes, vandalism and related emergency/non-emergency calls, apprehend and arrest individuals accused of crimes.
2. Gather, preserve, process and maintain chain of custody for evidence according to established policies and procedures.
3. Conduct investigations, secure crime scenes, collect evidence, interview witnesses, and take statements; prepare and submit official incident and investigative report s; provide testimony on criminal cases in court hearings.
4. Provide traffic control at traffic accident scenes, congested areas, schools, and special events; respond to traffic related accidents.
5. Enforce parking restrictions and regulations, issue citations.
6. Provide information to the general public on law enforcement policies and procedures, traffic rules and regulations and related enforcement standards.
7. Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

THE POSITION: The Dixon Police Department is recruiting to fill full-time Police Officer positions at either the Academy Graduate Level or Lateral Level, as well as establish an employment eligibility list for future possible use. The Substance Use Disorder Counselor I/II position is located in the Behavioral Health division at the Health and Human Services Agency. This position performs a variety of para-professional and responsible eligibility determination and case management duties for alcohol and drug programs, including crisis services to individuals; and performs related duties as assigned. The Substance Use Disorder Counselor II is the full journey-level class within series and performs the full range of duties as assigned, responsible for direct client contact in the provision of case management including complex cases. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Performs client intake procedures, eligibility determinations and establishes case loads and services for programs in drug and alcohol, specialized programs, grant funded programs, and other health and human services programs.
• Maintains Glenn County drug and alcohol specialized programs, grant funded programs caseloads under the supervision of a health services program coordinator or HHSA program manager.
• Communicates with clients; determines eligibility, educates clients regarding various health services, social services, grant funded and specialized programs and recommends other sources of services for those not eligible.
• Tracks, documents, and prepares information for appropriate billing for services; maintains established productivity rates for a variety of health services programs.

DEFINITION: Plan, organize and execute personal curriculum for elementary age children for a one hour onsite outdoor enrichment program. Program hours could include Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 2pm – 4pm and Wednesday 1:15pm – 3:15pm, preparation hours can be discussed.

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the positions of Assistant Engineer, Associate Engineer and Associate Civil Engineer for the Public Works Department in the Community Development and Services Agency. Currently, there are two vacancies that may be filled at either the Assistant Engineer, Associate Engineer, or Associate Civil Engineer level depending on qualifications. These classes are alternately staffed and incumbents may advance to the higher level after gaining experience, required certifications and demonstrating proficiency which meet the qualifications and expectations for the higher level class. The incumbent to this position will perform engineering work, including preparing design plans, specifications and engineering estimates related to roads, bridges, culverts and other County infrastructure; project management; assist in developing and administering professional services or construction project contracts; review plans and inspect projects; collect and present data and prepare reports; provide information and advice to the public and perform related work as assigned. 

Assistant Engineer: is the entry level in the civil engineer series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents will provide assistance to management staff or higher level engineers in the areas of research, data collection, project administration, preparation of reports and preparation of engineering plans and specifications. Assignments are intended to provide background in the fundamental principles and practices of public service engineering.

Associate Engineer: is the journey level in the civil engineer series. Under general supervision, incumbents independently conduct design, research and construction project inspection and analyses for a variety of projects within the county. Responsibilities may also include providing work direction to technical support staff.

Associate Civil Engineer: is the advanced journey level in the civil engineering series. Under general direction, incumbents perform professional engineer work and prepare civil design plans for various Public Works projects; independently conduct engineering feasibility cost, research and design studies and construction project work; analyses for varied department and agency projects and functions; signing off designs and as-built changes related to roads, bridges, culverts and other County infrastructure and perform related duties as assigned.

The Fiscal Analyst I/II/III position at the Glenn County Community Action Division, performs varied and complex professional accounting and financial analysis work relating to various grants and programs; fiscal and contract management; fiscal program analysis and compliance; prepares analytical, narrative, statistical, accounting and financial reports; develops and monitors budgets; prepares financial statements and reports, and related duties as assigned. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provides information for and prepares periodic accounting, fiscal reports, and analysis to internal units, federal, state, and local agencies and/or to private auditing firms as required by governing agencies.

The City of Dixon is accepting applications to fill one (1) full-time position of Transit Driver/Dispatcher and to establish an eligibility list for future use.  

This position drives a Readi-Ride General Public Paratransit Vehicle (GPPV) on a demand responsive curb-to-curb transit system and assist patrons boarding and leaving the bus, especially the elderly, disabled, and school age children. May also assist in collecting information relating to the operation of the system; receive ride requests and organize the vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs; and, will work closely with the drivers and Transit Supervisor to ensure coordinated efforts.
