Part-Time position: variable hours; evenings and weekends

Pay Rate: starting at $18.13 an hour

Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of custodial tasks and provides oversight of rental groups, in accordance with District policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist patrons and prospective participants on the phone and in-person
• Assist permit groups with set-up and breakdown of tables, chairs, and other equipment
• Promptly open and unlock facilities or close and secure facilities as scheduled
• Complete facility condition forms following permit group use and incident reports as needed
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions
• Turn athletic field lights off and on for sports groups
• Sell and scan admission tickets special events and/or theater performances

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sweep floors, vacuum carpets, and dust or polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Wash windows, clean restrooms, replenish supplies, and sanitize high touch areas often
• Empty waste receptacles and remove any trash or debris found throughout facility
• May assist with conducting recreation classes
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Minimum age of 18 years old with a High School Diploma (or GED). At least 250 hours of experience in customer service or a related field preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively in English in both written and oral form. Ability to write routine correspondence using correct spelling and grammar. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense and exercise good judgement in solving problems. Ability to establish effective relationships with fellow employees, volunteers, and participants and/or parents/guardians.

Certificates and Licenses:

• Proof of negative Tuberculosis (TB) skin test prior to first day of employment
• CA Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance
• Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR/AED within 90 days of hire

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The employee may provide guidance or direction to other part-time employees and to volunteers.

• Assist in conducing classes and participate in group activities
• Facilitate organized games and sport activities
• Assist in the encouragement of participation, developmental learning, and good sportsmanship
• Assist as a chaperone at dances, parties, and on field trips

Summer Day Camps

Looking for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and having fun outdoors! If entering your senior year of high school, are in college or beyond, this could be a perfect fit. Our five all-day summer camps run from June 15 to August 14, with staff training beginning June 8. Serving children ages 4-12 at multiple locations, these positions serve as role models to youth campers throughout the Conejo Valley, leading arts and crafts, recreation games, swimming, hiking and more!

Weekdays; hours vary between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Dispatch/Records Supervisor (Full Time)

Under direction, the Dispatcher/Records Supervisor performs a wide variety of confidential law enforcement and clerical records maintenance and emergency services dispatching. Assists in designing and implementing procedures, methods, programs and departmental goals and objectives; responsible for the efficient accomplishment of the daily activities of an assigned work group; exercises direct supervision over staff; and performs related work as assigned.

SALARY RANGE:
Dispatch/Records Supervisor – $4,907.72 to $5,965.37 per month

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

The Dispatcher/Records Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising the work of specific non-sworn classifications; adhering to State and Federal guidelines regarding records maintenance. Limited direction is provided by the Support Services Manager.

• Type, file, and index police reports.

• Receive reports and complaints from the public over the phone and at the desk.

• Prepare periodic operating and statistical reports from accumulated data.

• Supervise and assist in the radio dispatch of emergency personnel and equipment.

• Handle petty cash as directed.

• Supervise, train and evaluate assigned staff.

• Perform related duties as assigned.

Under direct supervision, the Police Academy Recruit attends a basic Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified training academy to obtain the basic skills and fitness level necessary for the performance of Police Officer duties.  This position requires a thorough background investigation, psychological assessment, and a medical exam prior to appointment.
