The City of Dixon is looking to fill one full-time, regular vacancy for the position of Wastewater System Operator I/II and to establish an eligibility list for future vacancies. This position will perform the operation and maintenance of the City of Dixon's ("City"), Grade III, activated sludge wastewater facility, laboratory facilities, industrial pre-treatment program related property and equipment.

This position includes field, laboratory and office activities. Field activities involve exposure to noxious odors, dangerous gases, strong acids, heights, confined spaces, extremes in weather conditions, hazardous materials, airborne particles, noise, water hazards, heavy equipment operation and traffic hazards. Wastewater System Operator I: This is the entry level class in the Wastewater Systems Operator series and requires a Grade I Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certificate issued by the State of California.

Wastewater System Operator II: This is the journey level class in the Wastewater Systems Operator series and requires a Grade II Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certificate issued by the State of California and is a fully qualified plant operator certified to independently operate a grade III wastewater treatment facility.

We are currently looking for a Clinical Therapist I or II to work on our MHSSA Grant Team within Tri-City's Child & Family Clinic. A Clinical Therapist I/II provides behavioral health clinical intervention and recovery services to assigned clients and their families; develops treatment plans and performs individual, group, and family psychotherapeutic counseling, routine and emergency assessment, crisis intervention, and related treatment services; manages an assigned caseload of adults, juveniles, and/or children; provides consultation to other staff, programs, and agencies related to treatment needs and plans; and 
performs related duties as assigned. 

The Clinical Therapist I/II position will report to a Clinical Supervisor II and will work on a multidisciplinary team consisting of other Clinical Therapists and Behavioral Health Specialists in partnership with the school and families.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

•  Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high acuity clients. 

•  Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances. 

• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field. 

•  Performs routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure; completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment. 

•  Works with clients to address stressors and barriers to treatment and/or social functioning; identifies and focuses on client strengths and personal resources to effectively engage and treat client. 

•  Performs crisis intervention for clients and walk-in non-clients; evaluates individuals to identify level of stable behavior; provides support and assistance in problem resolution; coordinates or arranges for the provision of appropriate care services; and places holds as necessary within scope of authority. 

• Attends and participates in a variety of meetings, staff trainings, utilization and peer review activities, clinical supervision and case consultation, and public information and education functions.

•  As a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team, provides critical clinical input related to client diagnosis and recommended treatment; presents findings and clinical observations; and makes recommendations for additional services. 

• Maintains and submits accurate, detailed, and thorough documentation, case records, and notes of all billable and non-billable activities and services related to client care; completes necessary documentation for billing purposes.

•  Provides resources and referrals to address basic needs and other barriers to wellness and recovery including food, housing, clothing, transportation, and other financial resources. 

•  Maintains client confidentiality in compliance with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) regulations.

THE POSITION

Tri-City Mental Health Authority is currently hiring to fill two (2) full-time vacancies for the position of Clinical Therapist II within the Mobile Crisis Care Program (MCCP). 

Tri-City’s MCCP operates 24/7 to provide crucial support in mobile crises. As such, the schedule will involve a 3/12 shift pattern, consisting of three twelve-hour days per workweek and one alternating eight-hour day every other week. Shifts may include evenings, weekends, daytime hours, and holidays.

The specific shift and schedule will be determined by the supervisor; however, the first one to two months of training will follow a 5-day-per-week, 40-hour-per-week schedule

Examples of shifts are included below:

• Day Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Night Shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM, 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM, or 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM

Weekend and night shifts will be entitled to Shift Differential Pay of $2.50 per hour on weekdays (Monday through Friday) and $3.50 per hour on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday shifts will be entitled to Holiday Pay.

Tri-City is looking for individuals to serve as Clinical Therapist II on a full-time basis for the MCCP. The MCCP Clinical Therapist II will be part of a team that provides crisis intervention and stabilization, linkage and referral, consultation, and education within the scope of practice. The MCCP Clinical Therapist II will report to the Mobile Crisis Care Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Respond to client’s (Full-Service Partnership and Adult and Children’s Outpatient Programs and other specialty mental health services) crisis calls with or without law enforcement;
   

• Perform field-based and telephone emergency mental health evaluations and crisis stabilization in accordance with agency procedure;
   

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals, groups, and families;
   

• Identify treatment needs and make appropriate referrals for necessary services;
   

• Assist clients and relatives with understanding behavioral health problems and their reaction to them;
   

• Work on a multidisciplinary team for crisis response.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

SUPERVISION RECEIVED/EXERCISED:

Supervision is received from the Fire Marshal, Battalion Chief, or Company Officer. Incumbents do not exercise supervisory responsibility over other personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (include but are not limited to the following)

• Incumbents assist with activities of the Fire Prevention Division, including:
• Participating in public education, community outreach, and fire prevention programs.
• Assisting with business inspections and related fire prevention activities.
• Responding to public inquiries regarding fire and life safety requirements.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position requires sitting, standing, walking, running, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting, crouching, and lifting more than 50 pounds in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement, and fine coordination in creating reports, and using a computer keyboard. Additionally, the position requires near, far, night, and color vision in situations where there is viewing of maps and fire scenes. When providing emergency services, the position may be required to walk or run on uneven and slippery surfaces and climb ladders. To perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work involving the trimming, removal, installation and general maintenance of trees.  The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current vacancy in the Community Services Department, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The Ideal Candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of practices and procedures identified by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) as they relate to a municipal setting. The Ideal Candidate will also possess good communication, customer service and writing skills, as well as demonstrate competence working with computers and related software, e.g., maintenance management and MS Outlook. Additionally, they will have a strong work ethic, ability to climb trees, work out of an aerial truck, be available to work overtime and perform standby duty as needed. The Ideal Candidate should have knowledge in operating chain and hand saws, operating a chipper, a background in landscaping with planting trees, and experience with setting-up and tearing-down of traffic control. The Ideal Candidate also has knowledge of safety & best management practices used in operating and maintaining tree pruning equipment and trucks.

Tree Trimmer I:
This is the entry level class in the Tree Trimmer series.  Positions in this class will usually perform most of the duties required of Tree Trimmers I and II; however, as compared to the Tree Trimmer II, is not expected to function at the same skill level and will usually exercise less independent discretion and judgment on matters related to work procedures and methods.

Tree Trimmer II:
This is the journey level class in the Tree Trimmer series.  This class differs from Tree Trimmer I in that incumbent performs more complex duties.  This incumbent Tree Trimmer II may also be expected to assist in the oversight and training of less experienced personnel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Prune trees and shrubbery to provide clearance of streets, sidewalks, signs, and lights, and as necessary to ensure continued health of the plant.  Remove fallen trees, dead limbs, and other debris resulting from storm damage and general conditions.  Participate in the large-scale application of herbicides and pesticides.  Clean and maintain trimming equipment.  Work both independently and as a crew member in removing trees and stumps.  Plant, stake, spray and inject trees.  Operate a chipper, aerial truck, mist sprayer and miscellaneous equipment which could include routers, loaders, forklifts, and dump trucks.  Use a variety of hand tools including hand saws, pole saws, chain saws, and pole loppers.  Regular and consistent attendance.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
May perform street drainage maintenance or other public works maintenance work when not assigned to tree trimming duties.  Respond to emergency situations after regular working hours.   Perform related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Tree Trimmer I
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Six (6) months of work experience involving tree maintenance or landscaping work including some tree trimming.

License and Certificate: Required upon hire, possession of a valid California driver's license.  Must obtain a valid Class B California driver’s license, Work Zone Safety I certificate from the International Municipal Signal Association (or Department approved equivalent), First Aid and CPR certification prior to permanent appointment.

Tree Trimmer II
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Eighteen (18) months of work experience involving tree maintenance work including pruning, trimming and caring for trees.

License and Certificate: Required upon hire, possession of a valid Class B California Driver's License.  Possession of a Work Zone Safety I certificate from the International Municipal Signal Association (or Department approved equivalent), First Aid and CPR certification prior to permanent appointment.  Possession of a Certified Commercial Applicator license from the State of California and Certification as an Arborist by the International Society of Arboriculture is highly desirable.

Retirement:                          
CalPERS Retirement System (2 % @ 60 formula for Classic CalPERS members and 2% @ 62 formula for new CalPERS members).  The City does not participate in social security

Deferred Compensation:                   
Choice of deferred compensation plans (Traditional and Roth) with 1% City-match.  After successful completion of probation, new hires are also eligible for a 2% City contribution.

The City of Dixon is recruiting qualified Lifeguard/Swim Instructor I/II applicants for the 2026 Aquatic season.

Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor and Senior Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, Lifeguard/Swim Instructor performs a variety of duties to ensure the City of Dixon swimming pool is a safe and enjoyable aquatic facility. Supervises pool patrons, enforces pool rules, performs first aid and emergency rescues, instructs swim lessons, performs cashiering duties, leads recreational activities; performs related and other work as required.

Staff may be expected to work weekends and on fixed holidays.  Those who work on a City Holiday will earn 1 1/2 times their base hourly salary.
