This position is a working level civilian class in law enforcement, performing a variety of        non-sworn duties in support of law enforcement activities.  Incumbents may perform civil, code enforcement, and criminal services including a variety of routine to more complex non-sworn law enforcement and crime prevention work including patrolling assigned areas, answering calls for service and complaints, serving civil papers, providing court room security; and enforcing local ordinances related to public safety and welfare.  As a County Services Officer he/she will enforce Division 14 of the Agricultural Code of the State of California and enforce the County ordinance governing the animal and rabies control program, in an effort to maintain public safety and welfare.  This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Process and serve documents involved in civil actions including summons, complaints, claims of plaintiffs and orders; declarations and orders of examinations, Notice of Entries of Judgments, civil and criminal subpoenas, Notice to Vacate Rental Premise and process writs of execution including the preparation of orders for wage garnishment. Works with other law enforcement agencies in matters related to the investigation of crimes and apprehension of offenders.

• Prepares various reports and case files on investigations, issues citations and warnings for violations of ordinances; files charges with District Attorney as appropriate; testifies and presents evidence in court.

The Financial Management Analyst (FMA) I/II, under general supervision, provides financial and analytical support in planning, developing, and managing programs and projects, including budgeting, financial reporting, grants and contract administration, training, legislative analysis, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include conducting research, needs assessments, feasibility studies, and evaluations; recommending improvements to ensure accurate financial reporting; and developing complex accounting and financial systems. FMA I is entry-level, FMA II is journey-level, and FMA III is advanced journey-level in the classification series. This in-person position, located in Orland, CA within the Health and Human Services Agency, is full-time at forty (40) hours per week and is eligible to telecommute up to two (2) days per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Assists in the development and implementation of analytical studies that pertain to the short and long-range financial analysis and planning for assigned programs.
• Performs professional-level financial management analysis and program analysis work in the planning, development, and administration of assigned programs and projects, including budget and financial analysis and reporting, grants management and reporting, contract development and administration, training and development, and/or legislative analysis and regulatory compliance.
• Develops and administers budgets for assigned programs; prepares preliminary budget estimates, and grant funds disbursement; monitors revenues and expenditures; identifies and recommends resolutions for budgetary problems and makes budget adjustments; prepared budget reports, analyses, and documents.

DEFINITION: Plan, organize and execute personal curriculum for elementary age children for a one hour onsite outdoor enrichment program. Program hours could include Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 2pm – 4pm and Wednesday 1:15pm – 3:15pm, preparation hours can be discussed.

Yuba County Probation is currently recruiting for the position of Probation Aide. Under general supervision, assist professional and technical staff in providing a variety of casework and program support associated with the monitoring of adult and juvenile probationer cases; provide routine and structured office, community and client support to department programs including completing necessary forms and documents, serving notices, conducting diligent searches, and providing support for deputized probation officers; and related work as assigned.  

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: 

 • Obtain information and other documentation from clients participating in a Probation program.  

• Provide transportation to and from appointments, interviews and medical or community agency locations.

The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department is currently accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for the classification of Correctional Officer.  Under continuing supervision incumbents perform a wide variety of support in two areas: corrections, in which incumbents ensure the security, safety and care of individuals in custody; and bailiff, in which incumbents ensure the safety and security of the courts and their personnel during court proceedings; and perform related work as assigned. The Yuba County Sheriff's Department is responsible for the administration of the Yuba County Jail and Jail staff. The Mission of the Yuba County Jail is to provide safe, efficient, humane and secure custody of all persons incarcerated. The county prisoner population is made up of those who are sentenced to county jail, those serving state prison sentences in the county jail under AB109, and those who are pre-trial and who have not yet been sentenced. The jail provides a necessary link in the criminal justice system. There are numerous programs operating within the facility including medical, kitchen, exercise, commissary, visiting, law library, inmate education, work programs, work furlough program, and inmate classification.

The Office Assistant II performs general clerical duties related to filing, reception, form processing, record maintenance, mail, typing or data entry; obtains and compares information related to department records, programs, and services; and performs related work as required at the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency. About the Position:

The County of Yuba is currently accepting applications for Building Inspector I/II/III in the Building Department of the Community Development & Services Agency. This is a multi-level class series in which incumbents may be assigned to any one of the three levels depending on organizational needs, professional experience, individual expertise and skill, proficiency gained and complexity of assignments. The Building Inspector series is flexibly staffed through level III.

Building Inspector I – Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn structural, framing, plumbing, electrical, energy consumption, disability access, zoning, and related codes and inspection techniques. As experience is gained, inspections become more complex and are performed under more general supervision. This is the entry level in the building inspection series.   

Building Inspector II – Under limited supervision, this is the journey level in this class series, fully qualified to independently perform diverse inspections. This is the journey level in the building inspection series.  

Building Inspector III – is the advanced journey/lead level in this class series. Incumbents at this level receive general supervision as new or unusual situations arise. As employees progress through these levels, they will be assigned more complex, difficult and/or contentious inspections.

Building Inspector I:

• Perform basic principles and practices of the Building Department for inspections, investigations, code interpretation, permit application intake, review and permit issuance, including record keeping and case management.  Also learns zoning, land use, fire-safe and water quality related regulations.
• Inspect new and existing residential properties, and other building and construction elements for conformance to codes, regulations, plans, specifications and standards related to foundations, framing, electrical, plumbing and other structural and functional elements.
• Maintain professional development and continuing education activities, study for and pass certification exams to maintain certification requirements.

Building Inspector II:

• Learn inspection practices and procedures for non-residential commercial and industrial projects, new and existing.
• Perform inspections of new and existing buildings, building and construction elements and structures with limited supervision.
• Investigate complaints regarding existing buildings or new construction to determine if code violations or problem conditions exist; resolve problems or refer them to the supervisor for resolution.

Building Inspector III:

• Provide lead direction, training and work review to professional and technical staff; organize and assign work, set priorities and follow-up to ensure coordination and completion of assigned work; provide input into performance evaluations.
• Perform plan reviews and field inspections of a complex and difficult nature; respond to highly sensitive, complex, or technical complaints; make on-site visits to validate the nature of the complaint and recommend solutions.
• Independently perform full range of Building Inspection duties including conducting and documenting multiple inspections; maintain accurate and separate records for each inspection.

The Behavioral Health Clinician I/II performs a variety of professional duties in the provision of outpatient and crisis behavioral health services to individuals and groups. This person will work with complex casework which may include clinics, criminal justice, adult services, youth and family services, and other mental health settings where they may be asked to  respond to crisis situations, work with case managers and psychiatrists in treatment teams and be familiar with various treatment modalities to ensure clients are in appropriate treatment services. The position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.

JOB DUTIES

• Provides individual, group, and family counseling on a variety of mental health problems and substance use disorders; develops treatment plans; provides follow-up counseling and assists patients with the resolution of problems.
• Observes patients on-site at schools, etc., as necessary; conducts home visits as necessary. Participates in outreach activities, providing information to the community regarding prevention, intervention, and education.
• Provides psychotherapy to children and adult clients or their relatives through individual or group therapy methods.
• Receives referrals from the courts or other individuals or organizations regarding individuals requiring treatment services; develops and implements treatment programs.

This position performs a variety of work in the monitoring of county, state and federal detainees and maintains the security and safety of inmates and staff.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

• Performs booking procedures, including receiving, booking and assigning prisoners to cells; performing body searches; fingerprinting, and photographing prisoners, etc.
• Maintains custody of prisoners’ private property.
• Maintains the safe and orderly operation of the County jail facility; monitors security cameras and door warning lights; screens and monitors visitors. Inspects all of inmates’ incoming and outgoing mail and telegrams.

• Prepares prisoners for court appearances; provides transportation as necessary.

This position will perform a variety of responsible law enforcement and crime prevention work, including patrolling assigned areas, answering calls and complaints, investigating crimes, serving civil papers, and providing court room security; enforce all federal and state laws and local ordinances related to public safety and welfare.
