The City of Redwood City is offering exciting opportunities to support local youth through after-school programs at various school sites. We're looking for enthusiastic and motivated Program Leader II’s to join our team!

In this role, you will:

• Lead the planning and facilitation of diverse, enriching youth activities
• Inspire student engagement through health, recreation, and service projects
• Develop activity calendars and lesson plans that foster growth, learning, and leadership

This position will report directly to the Recreation and Community Service Program Coordinator.  position, gaining hands-on experience in youth development. This part-time position offers

20–28 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during the 2025–2026 school year (August to June, depending on site assignment).

The Department

The mission of the Maintenance Operations Department is to enhance the community by providing high quality maintenance services through the maintenance of safe and effective transportation systems and public infrastructure that support a desirable quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors, and to support the City organization with efficient and effective services for City buildings and fleet vehicles.

The Ideal Candidate - Light Equipment

The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical skills, certifications, experience, and professional attributes suited to complete a full range of journey level mechanic work by performing preventative maintenance repair and overhaul of gasoline, diesel, alternative fuel, hybrid and electric automobiles, light and medium duty trucks, and related equipment that includes but is not limited to emergency generators, small construction equipment, bituminous machine, trailers, arrow board trailers, message board trailers, gas, diesel, and electric driven carts, landscape trucks, paint sprayer trucks, pressure washer trailers.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Redwood City Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department invites you to apply for the casual position of Building Attendant. This position requires daytime availability for four-to-six-hour shifts between the hours of 8am and 5pm. A person in this classification will work flexibly, up to 20 hours per week. Locations could vary across multiple community centers, and Building Attendants will be required to open the facility as needed.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to: provide excellent customer service to youth, teens, adults, and seniors; oversee the use of the facility insuring that patrons conform to established City and building rental policies and procedures; perform classroom and multi- purpose room set-up and breakdowns for classes, meetings, and building rentals; perform front desk customer service functions; perform minor clean-up as needed including, cleaning bathrooms, floors, windows, counter tops, and emptying garbage; lock and unlock doors; secure building; set up supplies and equipment as dictated by program needs; and perform related duties as assigned.

The Public Works Department consists of Design Engineering, Development Engineering, Construction, Civic Facilities, Transportation, Survey, and Real Property sections. The department reviews all proposed land development projects in the City and executes the design and construction of public projects such as streets, parks, and public buildings.

The City of Dixon is actively recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Department of Engineering/Utilities. As a rapidly growing community with significant development in both business and residential sectors, this is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our city. The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and reviewing engineering work related to the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of public works projects. The role also includes the dynamic responsibilities of transportation planning, supervisions of contracts/projects, and management for the successful operation of the City’s wet utilities (water, sewer, and drainage).
