                           MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: 

Education/Training:

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college level course work in water science, chemistry, environmental science or a related field.

Experience:

• Four years of wastewater treatment plant operations experience including one year of administrative or lead supervisory responsibility.

License or Certificates:

• Possession of an appropriate, valid State of California Grade IV Wastewater Treatment Operator certificate, and the ability to obtain a Grade V Wastewater Treatment Operator certificate within one year of hire.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid CPR Certificate.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, forward-thinking professional to join our team as Facility Maintenance Manager and lead our dynamic citywide facility maintenance program. In this pivotal role, you’ll work collaboratively with City staff, contractors, community partners, and public facility users with tact, discretion, and professionalism in every interaction. As our Facilities Maintenance Manager, you’ll take the helm in planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing both staff and operations of the Facilities Maintenance Division. The Greater Vallejo Recreation District is a Special Service District that has been serving area residents for over sixty years. As a Special Service District, GVRD operates as a separate government agency from the City of Vallejo. GVRD manages 407 acres of public park space including 20 neighborhood parks, 10 community parks, 6 special purpose parks, and Olympic-size swimming pool and 4 community centers.  GVRD maintains over 1,000 acres of public land.

GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising staff in landscape activities, defining and adhering to fertilization requirements, conducting inspections of grounds, and responding to resident concerns.

Supervise and participate in the preparation, application and use of chemicals fertilizers and pesticides; prepare and maintain records for monthly pesticides report; inspect pesticide storage facilities for compliance with state and local laws and regulations.

•  Analyze existing caseloads and forecast resource needs.

THE POSITION:

The City of San Rafael, Child Care Division is accepting applications for Child Care Aide to work in our School-Age Program.  We are looking for people who are available Monday thru Friday from 2:00 – 6:00 pm.  This is a great part-time position for someone who attends school in the morning.  No weekend work required!
