The Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) team of the Human Services Agency (HSA) of San Mateo County is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Rehabilitation Production Supervisor I/II. This current vacancy is a permanent position assigned in Catering Connection and/or the WorkCenter program. The position is a shared assignment and will be scheduled weekly to work in Catering Connection and/or the WorkCenter. The schedule of this position will vary and include weekends depending on the needs of the departments.
 
Under supervision, Rehabilitation Production Supervisor I/II will perform a variety of support activities and supervise the operation of Vocational Rehabilitation Services’ Catering Connection, and WorkCenter. In addition, this position is responsible for: Instructing, training and supervising the work of support staff and individuals with emotional and physical disabilities or others with barriers to employment by observing, evaluating and reporting on progress, attendance and employment potential of clients and preparing written evaluations.
 
There is currently one open position. The ideal candidates will have skills to work in Catering Connection and WorkCenter.

Catering Connection Skills:

• Supervisory experience working with people with disabilities/barriers in a kitchen environment.

• Maintain, requisition and fill orders; prepare requisitions to maintain adequate stock on hand.
• Receive stock and check for agreement with purchase order, requisitions, and/or kits lists.
• Direct and participate in taking periodic physical inventories and check and reconcile physical inventory records.
• Supervise and monitor the staff and flow of work in/out of the WorkCenter.
• Serve as back-up to Production Manager.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Supervise shipping/receiving area, where employees provide training and supervision for the operations of the warehouse that supports the WorkCenter.
• Possession of a Forklift certificate.

Program Overview:

The Child Welfare Mental Health (CWMH) team serves children ages 6-17 years old and their families who have a voluntary or court-ordered open case with Children and Family Services (CFS). For all CFS referred youth, we administer the CANS, among other assessment tools. We interview the children, caregivers, and any relevant parties as part of this assessment process. Based on these assessments, we provide various therapeutic services (e.g., individual therapy, family therapy, dyadic therapy, psychiatric evaluations, etc.). We work in conjunction with pediatric nurses, doctors, and psychiatrists. When appropriate or upon CFS case closure, CWMH therapist transfers mental health services to other BHRS programs or to our network of community-based agencies/providers.

Position Description:

We are hiring a Bilingual Spanish-speaking clinician to provide assessments, brief crisis/stabilization, therapy, case management services, and treatment summaries to the court for children aged 6-17 years old. The ideal candidate will provide trauma-informed child abuse treatment and work closely with the foster care system.

Our clinicians carry an outpatient caseload and services are community-based. We can conduct therapy at our BHRS therapy offices, but mostly conduct therapy off-site (e.g., at the child’s school, homes, etc) based on what is convenient for the child/family. So, having a car to travel within San Mateo County is necessary to the work. It is important to note that for work-related travel, the candidate can choose to use county cars or if they decide to drive their vehicle, they can also get mileage reimbursement.

We serve residents of San Mateo County who are often of racial/ethnic minorities and low-income status. Our team consists of master’s level clinicians (licensed and unlicensed). Therapists have weekly individual supervision and a weekly clinical staff meeting where cases are discussed. There are ongoing training opportunities to learn skills in a wide variety of modalities (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, NMT, etc.). The work that this team does is critical for the health and well-being of many children and youth in San Mateo County. Although the work often comes with the challenges connected to trauma, it also provides a rich and rewarding experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Town of Atherton invites you to apply for the position of Associate Engineer in the Public Works Department. The position, general supervision, performs various professional field and office engineering work related to the management, planning, design, construction, and maintenance of the Town’s public works infrastructure, associated with the Capital Improvement Program (CIP); provides project management oversight, coordination and administration; conducts development plan reviews and inspections; confers with developers, contractors, and representatives of other agencies regarding facility and infrastructure development and maintenance; administers professional services and construction contracts; provides professional staff assistance to the Director of Public Works, other departments, and the public in areas of expertise; performs a variety of studies and prepares and presents staff reports; and assist in the development of the Department budget and monitors revenue and expense budgets on an ongoing basis.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

• Plans, manages, designs, and inspects all phases of civil engineering public works construction projects, including defining the scope of the project; coordinating with permitting and public utility agencies; applying engineering principles and practices to specific problems; coordinating construction schedules with other projects and agencies; preparing and reviewing cost estimates; and inspecting construction of projects to ensure compliance with construction documents; performs related planning and design work.

San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) is seeking a well-qualified individual for the position of Psychologist I/II-Behavioral Health and Recovery Services. 

There is currently one vacancy on the Central County Adult Mental Health Clinic team in San Mateo.

 

In this position, the psychologist will work as part of a dynamic, multicultural and multidisciplinary team, supporting our culturally diverse San Mateo residents who are diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illnesses and Co-Occurring Disorders.

This Psychologist will conduct admission assessments and evaluation, provide individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, and rehabilitation services to a caseload of adults diagnosed with a serious mental illness.  The Psychologist will also support the psychology doctoral student program and the MSW/MFT graduated internship program at the clinic and provide students with supervision and provide clinical consultation. The Psychologist will work with the team in appropriate discharge planning and coordination of care with other community based organizations.
 
In this position, the psychologist will also administer psychological testing to a small number of clients referred from other BHRS Adult outpatient clinics.

The Park Development Project Manager (Class: Project Analyst II or Project Analyst III) will manage park development, landscape improvement and/or watershed planning projects. This is professional and technical work pursuant to the terms of grants, contracts, and applicable regulations, involving frequent communication with others, for a flexible person at an entry or intermediate level. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Implement multiple projects simultaneously: The project manager is the central point of contact on all issues concerning assigned projects and will be responsible for project quality. Perform project tracking, scheduling, and budget management.
• Oversee consultants and contractors, manage contracts, coordinate project team and collaborate with coworkers to ensure that the project scope is completed according to grant agreements, schedules, and cost limits. Assist in selection of consultants/contractors.
• Determine project scope, options, and alternatives to overcome constraints. Revise as often as needed to address unexpected conditions.

• Produce irrigation designs utilizing Land F/X software.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required remain in a stationary position, occasionally move about inside the office to access supplies and office machinery, frequently communicate and exchange information, review handwritten, electronic and facsimile documents, and operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. During project site surveys, the employee is regularly required to position self to perform measurement and inventory tasks, frequently move about work sites, operate a mobile system to complete checklists, travel to various park sites, frequently operate measuring tools to record measurements indoors and in outdoor weather conditions, transport tools between vehicles and work sites on a daily basis, and occasionally ascend/descend a ladder to access areas of work.

Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week with some scheduling flexibility. Occasional overtime work in evenings or weekends upon prior approval by supervisor. The position will work out of the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens and will be required to travel to various other locations. The Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) Division of San Mateo County Health seeks an experienced psychiatrist to serve as Supervising Adult Psychiatrist for our Interface Primary Care Team.

Interface Primary Care is a BHRS mental health integrated, collaborative care program providing psychiatric services and Medication Assisted Treatments (MAT) to adults receiving care in the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Community Primary Care Clinics operated by San Mateo County Health. These clinics are located at North County Primary Care Clinic (in Daly City), Fair Oaks Health Center (in Redwood City), San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC), South San Francisco Primary Care Clinic (South San Francisco), and the Sequoia Teen Wellness Center (in Redwood City). This position will be a mix of direct clinical care and providing leadership and supervision for an interdisciplinary team of providers. This position also includes collaborative consultation with primary care/specialty medical providers and support for MAT services across BHRS.

This position is a full time, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) position. This Supervising Adult Psychiatrist will report directly to the Medical Director of BHRS and will assist him/her in providing the highest quality behavioral health care in San Mateo County.
