THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP). The Clinical Therapist I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community with moderate to severe behavioral health clients. The Clinical Therapist will report to a Clinical Supervisor.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high-acuity clients.

• Within the scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field.

• Performs routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure;
  completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Wildfire Resilience Coordinator will manage projects related to the overall MRCA efforts regarding wildfire resilience, including tracking and analyzing existing funding sources related to wildfire preparedness and response, supporting staff project as defined by the early action wildfire resilience plan, coordinating with other MRCA and SMMC staff members working on wildfire related projects and programs, preparing and documenting further regional needs.

 

This position requires a highly motivated, responsible, organized and self-starting individual who can handle an array of tasks at the same time as part of standard workload, has good judgment and can make decisions, and works well independently and as part of a small team.

 

This is professional and technical work pursuant to the terms of grants, contracts, and applicable regulations, involving frequent communication with others. Project managers must also build community and political support, seek funding opportunities, actively cooperate with other government agencies and non­profit organizations, and keep abreast of related planning processes. The work performed will support MRCA’s capital Workprogram for wildfire resilience including improvements, workforce development, ignition prevention and suppression, inspection and monitoring and structure hardening and other MRCA efforts related to public access, open space conservation, habitat restoration, and urban park development. Special projects assigned or led by the Chief of Staff will be supported by this position.

• Oversee consultants and contractors, manage contracts, coordinate project team and collaborate with coworkers to ensure that the project scope is completed according to grant agreements, schedules, and cost limits. Assist in selection of consultants/contractors.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking to fill vacancies for a Psychiatric Technician I/II for the Adult Outpatient Program/Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP) Program. The Psychiatric Technician I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community by providing all manner of adjunctive medication support services. The Psychiatric Technician I/II will report to the Medication Support Team Supervisor and the Crisis & Medication Support Manager and work a 9/80 schedule.

 

Psychiatric Technician I: This is the entry-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform routine medication monitoring, administration, and support, while learning Authority policies and procedures. 

Psychiatric Technician II: This is the journey-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Positions at this level are distinguished from the Psychiatric Technician I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, working independently, and exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

 

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Under the direction of clinical staff, provides medication management services to a caseload of clients in the office and in the field; ensures the proper acquisition and administration of medication.

 

• Provides education and training to clients, their families, and/or staff on the proper care and use of medications, including symptoms of, reactions to, or side effects of, specific medications; informs clients of the impact of abuse and/or misuse of medications.

 

• Conducts home/field visits to evaluate client’s physical environment and behavior such as anxiety, withdrawals, and behavioral health progression/regression.

 

• Takes and records measures of clients’ vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors; assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.

 

• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.

 

• Motivates clients to develop self-reliance in daily living; encourages clients to participate in group and/or individual therapy/program activities.

We are currently looking to fill one (1) vacancy for the Clinical Therapist I/II with our Child and Family Services Department in our School Partnership Team.

Our Clinical Therapist I/II  will appeal to individuals who are passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families in the field, in the office, and/or in the school setting.  In addition, we offer flexible scheduling options including a hybrid schedule (depending on department's needs) and bilingual pay.

The positions are responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provide individual, family, group therapy for adults, children, adolescents, and youth with mental illness and their families; facilitate child and family team meetings;

• Within scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

• Provide home, field, office and/or school services; complete all DMH documentation; participate in the on-call rotation;

• Perform routine and emergency intake evaluations according to Authority procedure; completes appropriate forms and documents relating to the intake process; and prepares medical and demographic case history for use in diagnosis.

• Assists clients and family members in understanding behavioral health diagnosis, contributing factors/causes, effects, prognosis, rehabilitation, and treatment.

• Works with clients to address stressors and barriers to treatment and/or social functioning; identifies and focuses on client strengths and personal resources to effectively engage and treat client.
