The Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority is recruiting for an Administrative

Physical Demands

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for an individual to serve as a Clinical Therapist I/II for the Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP). This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Provides individual, group, and family interventions, rehabilitation, and treatment services including counseling, therapy, case management, and referral and linkage to community services to a variety of clients including high-acuity clients.

• Within the scope of authority, assesses, diagnoses, and treats a variety of clients with mental health disorders; collaborates with clients and creates individualized treatments plans according to client’s needs and circumstances.

• Initiates and conducts individual, group, and family counseling and biopsychosocial therapy sessions utilizing a variety of techniques and modalities; provides case management services in the office and in the field.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Wildfire Resilience Coordinator will manage projects related to the overall MRCA efforts regarding wildfire resilience, including tracking and analyzing existing funding sources related to wildfire preparedness and response, supporting staff project as defined by the early action wildfire resilience plan, coordinating with other MRCA and SMMC staff members working on wildfire related projects and programs, preparing and documenting further regional needs.

This is professional and technical work pursuant to the terms of grants, contracts, and applicable regulations, involving frequent communication with others. The work performed will support MRCA’s capital Workprogram for wildfire resilience including improvements, workforce development, ignition prevention and suppression, inspection and monitoring and structure hardening and other MRCA efforts related to public access, open space conservation, habitat restoration, and urban park development. • Oversee consultants and contractors, manage contracts, coordinate project team and collaborate with coworkers to ensure that the project scope is completed according to grant agreements, schedules, and cost limits. Assist in selection of consultants/contractors.
• Write and coordinate grant proposals and research new funding opportunities for wildfire resilience and workforce development related planning efforts.

This position provides support, mentoring, education, skill-building, advocacy, and youth-guided programming to persons receiving services at the Community Drop-In Youth TAY Center located in the Behavioral Health Division at the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency. The incumbent will work as part of Behavioral Health with the Transition Age Youth Team delivering outreach/engagement and supportive service to youth and families on school campuses, in the community, and/or at the TAY Center. The Substance Use Disorder Counselor I/II position is located in the Behavioral Health division at the Health and Human Services Agency. The Substance Use Disorder Counselor II is the full journey-level class within series and performs the full range of duties as assigned, responsible for direct client contact in the provision of case management including complex cases. Education and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience in customer service, law enforcement, parking enforcement, EMS, or other related field is recommended for appointment.

Training and Certification

• Certificate in First Aid/CPR for the professional rescuer or equivalent, or ability to attain upon employment.

 

Knowledge of or ability to learn: 

• Common Windows-based programs including Office 365, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics; basic grammar and spelling as required in preparing reports and records.

Ability to:

• Prioritize varying tasks, projects, and manage multiple projects at once.
• Work independently to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.

Other Requirements:

Candidates must have a valid California driver’s license in good standing with a satisfactory driving record (must provide DMV printout). Employees must be willing to participate in agency emergency response. Bilingual skills in English, and other locally common language, such as Spanish, Korean, Farsi, Chinese, Armenian, Yiddish, or Tagalog is desired.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking to fill vacancies for a Psychiatric Technician I/II for the Adult Outpatient Program/Adult Full-Service Partnership (FSP) Program. The Psychiatric Technician I/II will appeal to individuals who are inspired by challenges and opportunities presented in working with an engaged and active community by providing all manner of adjunctive medication support services. The Psychiatric Technician I/II will report to the Medication Support Team Supervisor and the Crisis & Medication Support Manager and work a 9/80 schedule.

 

Psychiatric Technician I: This is the entry-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Initially under close supervision, incumbents learn and perform routine medication monitoring, administration, and support, while learning Authority policies and procedures. 

Psychiatric Technician II: This is the journey-level classification in the Psychiatric Technician series. Positions at this level are distinguished from the Psychiatric Technician I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, working independently, and exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.

 

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Under the direction of clinical staff, provides medication management services to a caseload of clients in the office and in the field; ensures the proper acquisition and administration of medication.

 

• Provides education and training to clients, their families, and/or staff on the proper care and use of medications, including symptoms of, reactions to, or side effects of, specific medications; informs clients of the impact of abuse and/or misuse of medications.

 

• Conducts home/field visits to evaluate client’s physical environment and behavior such as anxiety, withdrawals, and behavioral health progression/regression.

 

• Takes and records measures of clients’ vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors; assists and observes clients self-dispense medication as prescribed by a psychiatrist and administers scheduled injections.

 

• Conducts medication checks on clients to assess their overall medication management capabilities; takes appropriate action if client poses danger with respect to the use or abuse of medication; observes, evaluates, records, and reports to professional staff changes in client’s condition.

 

• Motivates clients to develop self-reliance in daily living; encourages clients to participate in group and/or individual therapy/program activities.
