The Planning and Building Department is seeking qualified candidates for Code Compliance Officer I/II/III.

Working under limited direction, the Code Compliance Officer ensures compliance with land use codes and ordinances by investigating and enforcing regulations on zoning, building, property maintenance, weed abatement, public nuisances, and abandoned vehicles. Duties include processing complaints, conducting research and site inspections, issuing notices and citations, maintaining records, preparing reports and inspection warrants, and representing the County in administrative hearings. The role involves frequent public interaction, particularly when investigating complaints and recommending corrective actions.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
In addition to the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below, the ideal candidate will have:

• At least two to three years of experience interpreting, analyzing, and applying local zoning codes and ordinances.
• Effective interpersonal skills, with experience explaining policies and procedures to members of the public, dealing with uncooperative or angry customers, and working effectively as part of a team.
• Experience documenting activities using a permit tracking system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and project management skills. 
• Possession of or ability to obtain within the first two years of employment, a Code Enforcement Training Certificate, such as from CACEO, the California Association of Code Enforcement Officers, or a similar professional group, such as ICC, International Code Council, or AACE, American Association of Code Enforcement.

The Position

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) provides oversight and strategic direction for nursing practice across the organization’s continuum of care. This role ensures a unified nursing vision and consistent standards of practice in all clinical areas where patients receive nursing services. The CNO establishes nursing policies, procedures, standards of practice, and care models that meet the needs of the patient populations served by the organization. The Chief Nursing Officer reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serves as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The Department

The Parks and Recreation Department is the third largest department in the City and is organized by program area, with each program administered by a supervisor, coordinator, or specialist. THE ATHERTON POLICE DEPARTMENT INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR:

THE POSITION:

This can be a stressful and demanding job located within the Police Department requiring shift work, weekend and holiday duty.  Although hours vary, this is an on-call, as-needed position that is paid hourly.  Using RIMS (Records Information Management System), per diem dispatchers dispatch police and transfer calls to Fire & EMS under emergency conditions; receive residential alarm calls and take calls of an emergency and non-emergency nature from citizens; greets public and assists at the front counter.  Dispatchers must remain calm and tactful under trying conditions, remembering detailed information, and thinking clearly while performing several tasks at once.

To maintain familiarity with the Atherton Police Dispatch Center, we can offer guaranteed 16 hours of shifts spread over a few days per month. You'll provide break relief while also getting a chance to work with another dispatcher. Since we may not always have many shifts available, expectations would be that you would also assist with open shifts/sick calls as needed and not just rely on the 16 hours.

This position performs a variety of work in the monitoring of county, state and federal detainees and maintains the security and safety of inmates and staff.

The County of Yuba is recruiting for both Extra-Help and Full-Time Juvenile Corrections Officers I/II, in an effort to fill current vacancies and expand staffing levels. These positions are located on the Tri-County Youth Rehabilitation Campus which falls under the Juvenile Institutions Division of the Yuba County Probation Department.  The primary responsibilities of this flexibly staffed position are to: provide care, custody, supervision, and control of youth housed in the secured detention facilities while they are pending legal action or serving a post adjudication commitment; ensure and sustain a safe and secure environment for youth; and coordinate counseling and behavior modification activities associated with the operation of the facilities.

About Detention Services & Yuba County:

Our Campus provides youth detention services to the communities of Yuba, Sutter, and Colusa Counties as well as several contract counties through our Camp Singer program.  We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and includes the Tri-County Juvenile Hall, Secure Housing Unit, and Maxine Singer Youth Guidance Center (Camp Singer), under a Joint Powers Agreement between the three counties. The San Mateo County Attorney's Office is seeking candidates for the 2026 Michael P. Murphy Public Law Fellowship.

In 2014, the County of San Mateo established a Fellowship position in honor of former San Mateo County Counsel Michael P. Murphy. Mr. Murphy served in the County Counsel’s office from 1982 to 2011, the last four years as County Counsel. Vacancies in Bay Area county counsel offices typically attract many qualified applicants and new attorneys are generally not considered for these positions. This Fellowship provides an opportunity for new attorneys to receive training and experience in advising and litigating on behalf of government agencies as they begin their legal careers.

Attorneys in the San Mateo County Attorney’s Office (previously known as the County Counsel’s Office) are generalists. We provide legal advice to County departments, school districts, and special districts; litigate civil cases in State and Federal courts and before administrative agencies; and manage calendar assignments in Dependency, Probate, Lanterman Petris Short Act, and other specialized areas of law. Fellows are given the opportunity to experience a wide range of public sector work, in litigation, public policy, and advice roles. The goal is to provide each Fellow a year in the life of a Deputy County Attorney.
