Role description

Under general supervision, assists in analyzing, planning, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting and enhancing large complex systems or networks consisting of a combination that may include mainframes, mini-computers, personal computers, mobile devices, LANS, WANs, servers, data storage and the physical and logical components that integrate these systems together as an enterprise networking backbone. 

The 1042 Security Engineer is the journey level position in the Engineer series. The class is distinguished from the Senior level by the complexity of the tasks, projects or duties assigned, and is more independent than the Assistant level. This classification performs a wide range of complex analytical, design, planning, implementation, enhancement and problem resolution tasks on large complex systems and networks. Works within a framework of established procedures and interprets policies, procedures and guidelines. This level may formulate recommendations consistent with directives, policies, standards and regulations. Incumbents require only occasional instruction or assistance. Work is reviewed upon completion and for overall results. Serves as a technical architect and systems integrator for large complex systems or networks, with a focus on securing vulnerabilities and reducing risk of system and/or asset compromises.

Essential Duties:
 

1. Determine requirements for the development environment and / or enhancement for large complex systems that serve HSA’s programs. May research and conduct feasibility studies on new technologies.
2. Design, plan, integrate, test, implement, document and enhance large complex systems. This may involve the analysis, coding (.NET C#, Cold Fusion), web application design, database design, and evaluation of systems software, hardware and communications strategies.
3. Perform systems integration for interoperability over dissimilar platforms and technologies. This may involve the integration of various protocols and systems software.
4. Determine the proper installation parameters for software for smooth integration and efficiency in relation to the enterprise system and network.
5. Write code to customize large systems software which may involve specialized programming languages.
6. Read and understand requirements documentation and other documentation in order to write code to implement the required features for application systems.
7. Analyze, detect, identify and correct complex systems software or hardware deficiencies. Analyze, research and debug program logic and systems; modify program logic; analyze service requests for system changes or new requirements to determine the most effective approach and the appropriate staff time required to achieve the needed modification.
8. Provide emergency technical support for application issues to ensure system availability and data integrity. May provide on-call support to ensure rapid recovery from software or hardware problems for mission-critical systems and networks.
9. Act as the liaison between vendors, technical support hot-lines and departments to resolve complex systems. Coordinate and implement corrective measures; this may involve site visits, telephone assistance, remote systems and participation in technical committees.
10. Facilitate the demonstration and training of staff in the use of new hardware or software products.
11. Document procedures and troubleshooting techniques related to systems software and hardware; develop technical documentation and review documentation prior to general distribution.
12. Plan, develop and implement backup and recovery procedures for large systems.
13. Communicate with managers regarding system performance and operational issues. Suggest improvements to management.
14. Research and test new software technologies; report results; recommend software purchases. Learn and implement the new technologies that are brought in. Coordinate and work with vendors when needed. 
15. Attend meetings, workshops, and demonstrations; perform duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What we are seeking 

The ideal candidate will possess: 

• Solid clinical treatment, assessment, diagnostic and evaluation skills. 
• Experience/interest in providing treatment to youth (individual therapy, family therapy, and case management). 
• Experience/interest in working with youth with emotional disturbances and with varying degrees of functional impairment and psychiatric presentations.
• Knowledge of Special Education and Individualized Education Plans
• Experience/interest in risk assessments, crisis assessments, and triage.
• Knowledge of principles, techniques and trends in counseling, psychotherapy, clinical case management, crisis management as well as evidence-based practices.

Licensure/Certification:

PROGRAM LEADER (SPORTS AND FITNESS)

Salary Range: $17.37 to $23.15/hour, DOE

This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefitted position; 15-20 hours per week (not to exceed 950 hours per calendar year); predominantly afternoon/evening schedule, some weekends.

DEFINITION
The Town seeks gym monitors, scorekeepers, and leaders for the Junior Warriors youth basketball program. Responsibilities focus on monitoring basketball practices and games for kindergarten-aged through middle school participants. Basketball knowledge is preferred but not required. All staff will be cross-trained to assist with multiple aspects of the program, including refereeing younger age groups (K–3rd grade) and scorekeeping/timekeeping for older age groups. CPR/FA certification is recommended but not required.
 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Program Leader receives supervision from the Program Coordinator and/or Program Assistant.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Essential duties may include, but are not limited to:
•Gym monitoring for practices and games, including opening the gym, setting up and lowering hoops, and cleaning up.
•Refereeing for younger age groups (K–3rd grade).
•Scorekeeping and timekeeping for older age groups.
•Completing program score sheets, reports, and timesheets according to deadlines.
•Attending monthly staff meetings.
•Various tasks related to the implementation of youth basketball programs.

THE POSITION

The main role for this position of Cybersecurity Analyst I/II will focus on Cybersecurity. The candidate that fills the role will assist in defining enterprise cybersecurity policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure a robust and current cybersecurity program. They will also be responsible to monitor and analyze cybersecurity incident-related data and determine the appropriate response.

DEFINITION

Cybersecurity Analyst I: Under general supervision, provides professional level work, including the design, implementation, evaluation, and daily management of security systems and solutions; and performs duties related to threat detection and prevention, education, risk assessment, compliance, governance, business recovery, forensics, and incident response. This position requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, as well as the ability to work in a dynamic, public service-oriented environment. Other duties would include but not limited to assisting Network Administrators with items relating to the Network Administrator position.

Cybersecurity Analyst II: Under limited supervision, provides advanced level work, including the design, implementation, evaluation, and daily management of security systems and solutions; and performs duties related to threat detection and prevention, education, risk assessment, compliance, governance, business recovery, forensics, and incident response. This position requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, as well as the ability to work in a dynamic, public service-oriented environment. Other duties would include but not limited to aiding other Network Administrators with items relating to the Network Administrator position. Positions in this class require frequent use of a high degree of independent judgment and interpretative ability.

Positions in the Cybersecurity Analyst II classification are flexibly staffed and normally filled from advancement from the Cybersecurity Analyst I class, or when filled from the outside, require specific cybersecurity technology experience. Appointment to this class requires the employee to be performing substantially the full range of Cybersecurity Analyst II duties and to meet the qualifications for the class. The class requires the ability to work independently exercising judgment and initiative and a greater knowledge of the City’s security systems and solutions.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Architects, implements, monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots various security systems that protect the City’s networks, IT/OT systems (including SCADA), applications and critical infrastructure; designs, organizes, modifies, installs, secures and supports security infrastructure; and provides technical support for network and security issues associated with enterprise applications; analyzes both raw and processed security alerts, logs and event data to identify potential security incidents, threats, mitigations, and vulnerabilities. Architects, implements, maintains, and troubleshoots the City’s business continuity plan and emergency response plan as it relates to redundant, secure infrastructure. Investigates, analyzes, produces reports, and remediates security incidents that occur on City systems and applications, both on-premises as well as in the cloud; confirms viable backups, test, maintains and monitors both on-premises and within the cloud; works closely with other government agencies, law enforcement, and external cybersecurity vendors to stay updated on emerging threats and response strategies.  Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:  Network security, threat detection, and incident response; common cyberattack methods such as phishing, ransomware, and malware; security tools like firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and encryption technologies; government regulations, data protection laws, and compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, CJIS, NIST, NERC CIP, ISO 27000, etc.) is essential, as is the ability disaster recovery planning and maintaining cybersecurity policies tailored to local government infrastructure is critical for ensuring the safety of sensitive public data and services.

Ability to:  quickly respond to and mitigate cyber threats; analyze vulnerabilities specific to public sector environments. collaborate with internal teams and educating non-technical staff about security best practices; manage multiple tasks and prioritize threats is essential, as well as a keen attention to detail when conducting audits or reviewing security logs; adapt to evolving cyber threats and continuously update knowledge of emerging technologies and attack methods; think critically under pressure, especially during security breaches or system outages. interact positively and cooperate with co-workers, respond politely to customers, work as a team member, function under demanding time pressure, respond in a positive manner to supervision, and attend work and perform duties on a regular and consistent basis.

Experience:

Cybersecurity Analyst I: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles, preferably within government or public sector organizations.

Cybersecurity Analyst II: A minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles, preferably within government or public sector organizations.

Education:

Cybersecurity Analyst I: High school graduation or equivalent. Graduation from college or university with emphasis in computer science, information technology, or related field, and current certification (CCNA, MCSE, CCSA, CCSE, CEH, Security+) is desirable.

This position directs the work and staff activities that support the Trial Court Budget Advisory Committee (TCBAC) and various TCBAC subcommittees and work groups.

This position works independently with limited supervision and interacts with court leadership including presiding judges, court executive officers, local fiscal court officers, advisory committee and subcommittee members, leadership and management from other Judicial Council offices, and all units within the Budget Service office.

The City has new desktop and laptop computers in place for employees. The City already has Crime Analysis and Traffic Analysis software systems in place. A new handheld citations system for traffic has recently been launched. The City also implemented a citywide GIS system, document imaging system, and Intranet, which are available to all staff members. Additionally, we have placed laptops in all patrol cars in order to facilitate timely report writing and response to calls for service.

DEFINITION:

The City of Union City’s Community and Recreation Services Department is seeking passionate, motivated, and certified fitness professionals to join the Mark Green Sports Center (MGSC) team as Group Exercise Instructors and/or Personal Trainers. This position supports the City’s mission to promote health, wellness, and community engagement through high-quality fitness programs. Trainers and instructors work in a supportive, community-based environment — with no commission-based quotas or sales pressure. Instead, our Fitness Coordinator assists in client promotion, class opportunities, and professional growth through internal referrals and member engagement. Group Exercise Instructors may join our substitute roster and may be assigned to teach classes aligned with their certification and experience as openings arise.

DEFINITION:

The Music Instructor is responsible for providing quality music instruction to participants of varying skill levels in a positive and engaging environment. This position requires strong knowledge of music techniques and the ability to plan and deliver lessons that meet individual participants’ needs. The instructor will plan, prepare, and implement music lessons tailored to each participant’s abilities and goals, teaching music theory, aural skills, and practical techniques to individuals and groups. They will also prepare participants for performances or showcases as part of the program, select and acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources, and motivate participants to achieve continuous progress. In addition, the Music Instructor will communicate effectively with recreation staff and parents/caregivers regarding schedules, progress, and participant needs, assess participants’ abilities, provide constructive feedback, and maintain progress records. Delivering excellent customer service and representing the City in a professional and positive manner are essential aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will be patient, enthusiastic, and dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment where participants can grow both musically and personally.
