A Responsible individual is needed to maintain and enforce proper city procedures and policies in our parks, parking lots and ball fields.   Park monitors will perform park inspections and enforce park policies, supervise patrons, renters and daily facility management. Park monitors and parking lot attendants must stand firm on policies, control diverse situations and always possess a friendly disposition and professional demeanor.  Park monitors and parking lot attendants must also have the ability to communicate and respond to customer service concerns, handle all weather conditions and be reliable with a strong work ethic and personal integrity. Park monitors and parking lot attendants will be required to wear a city uniform while on duty.

Experienced and passionate music teachers are needed to teach music lessons to various ages on various instruments. Must be able to teach participants how to play various instruments at various individualized levels.

Salary

Child Care Aide: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour, part time, non-benefited, typically limited to 1,000 hours per year.  

Child Care Associate Teacher: $19.50 - $25.00 per hour, part time, non-benefited, typically limited to 1,000 hours per year.

CHILD CARE AIDE

Village Park Preschool Program

Village Park Preschool is a play-based preschool program offered by the City of Burlingame Parks and Recreation Department. We offer 5 programs: Lil’ Sprouts (2 year olds), Cottage Kids (3 year olds), Playschool Villagers (3 year olds), Afternoon Owls (3 year olds), and Camp Treehouse (3-4 year olds).  The emphasis of the program is physical, social, and emotional growth in a child-centered environment. Definition: Preschool Site Coordinator

The City of Burlingame is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, creative, and responsible Preschool Site Coordinator. Under direction of a Recreation Supervisor, the Preschool Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Village Park Preschool ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role involves managing staff, coordinating programs, communicating with parents, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties

• Program Oversite
  • Coordinate with teachers and staff to ensure lesson plans, schedules, and classroom activities align with educational standards and goals.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of programs and make adjustments as needed to meet the needs of children and families.
  • Manage supply lists and shop for required materials.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.

Qualifications

About this role

• Assist in keeping accurate records of forms, inventory and supplies

The Newark Recreation and Community Services Department is looking for Senior Lifeguards for our fantastic swim lesson and aquatic programs and the upcoming to work at the year-round Silliman Activity & Family Aquatic Center. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Marketing & Administrative Assistant is a creative position that is responsible for assisting the in the Parks & Recreation Services Division inform and promote variety of programs and events.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (This is a general description of duties and is not all-inclusive)

• Assist in developing and preparing a variety of promotional materials to publicize programs, events, and services (flyers, graphics, newsletters, emails, etc.), including taking photos and videos
• Assist with maintaining website content, ensuring accurate and current information is available
• Assist with publications, promotional materials, and articles as requested
• Assist with a wide variety of administrative, recruitment/onboarding, registration, and marketing tasks/projects
• Answers the telephone and assists the general public and City staff, giving information on department and assigned program policies and procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Relevant technical skill, education, experience or expertise
• Ability to establish and maintain productive relations and positive attitude toward others
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Excellent organizational skills, be resourceful, flexible and able to work both alone or as a team member
• Use a computer, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and desktop publishing applications.
• Experience with photography, photo/graphics and/or video editing software is a plus (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, iMovie, Google Docs, Capcut, Inshot etc.)

REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT

DEFINITION: Under general supervision, plan, organize and provide leadership for children grades 1st – 5th . for an onsite afterschool program. Program hours are M, T, Th, F PM 2:30pm – 5:30pm and Wed. 1:30pm – 5:30pm Approximately 15 – 20 hours a week.
