After School Program Technician I's work in the formal Suisun City classification of Recreation Specialist II. Starting hourly rate will depend on qualifications. This position works on average 19-29 hours per week.

The Position: Under general supervision, this position involves organizing, leading, and coordinating a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational and educational activities for an Afterschool Program. This role is classified as Temporary Part-Time to support both seasonal and year-round recreational programs.

On April 29, 2025, Suisun City Council approved a new contract between the Suisun City RPM Department and the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District (FSUSD). This agreement expands after school programming to include to grades TK-5 at Dan O. Root Elementary and Crescent Elementary Schools, making the Suisun City RPM Department the sole provider of after school services at both locations. This is a significant milestone for the RPM department and a reflection of the quality and dedication of our team.  We are excited to continue providing high-quality programs for our community's youth.

POLICE OFFICER - Academy Graduate - $8,419 to $11,416 per month (up to $13,128 with incentives)

Police Officers can serve in patrol, traffic, investigations, and K-9 assignments. Other collateral opportunities include instructor positions (Firearms and Force Options Team), Regional SWAT, Mobile Field Force, 10851 Task Force, CSI, Regional Major Accident Investigation Team, Driving Team with firearms and force options team, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), FBI Safe Streets Task Force, SET Team, Drone Team, Social Media Team, Community Resource Officer, School Resource Officer, and Field Training Officers. Officers work 12-hour shifts as part of a team concept. Shift schedules include 4-10 and 3-12, which may be changed periodically as job assignments may be rotated among patrol, traffic, and criminal investigation.  Night shifts include 5% additional pay. 

EDUCATION:

Academy Graduates (no sworn experience) - High school diploma and a minimum of 45 units of college-level course work, in addition to graduation from a P.O.S.T. basic academy.

Academy Graduate candidates with an honorable discharge may be credited with up to 15 semester units for a minimum of 3 years of active duty in the U.S. Armed Services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard).

The Department

The Human Services Department (HSD) delivers and supports services by forging long-term community partnerships; engaging with and building the capacity of the community to do its own problem-solving; and leveraging financial and volunteer resources.

The Position

The Multipurpose Senior Service Program (MSSP) Case Manager will perform professional and clinical social work tasks and duties for older adults living with complex medical conditions to assist them to obtain optimum health, financial, and/or social services. As a member of the Human Services Department, this position reports to a Clinical Supervisor in the Aging and Family Services Division.

This is a regular, part-time position (32 hours/week) and will receive pro-rated benefits.

• Manage a caseload of 28-32 clients comprised of older individuals with complex medical conditions.

The Department
The Recreation, Parks and Marina Department is responsible for the operations and programs of the Suisun City Marina, the Senior Center and the Joseph A. Nelson Center, including preschool, after-school programs at various sites, recreation classes and sports leagues, community events and special event rentals.

Special Events Attendants work behind the scenes making all Recreation and Community Services excel! This job entails interacting with the public and vendors participating in recreation and community activities, facilitating arts, crafts, games, and sports; performing participant check-in, reception duties and cash handling duties; assisting with large equipment (stage and booth) set-up, take down and housekeeping; opening and closing facilities. In the Public Health Division, the Advanced Practice Provider provides health care at the Berkeley High School Health Center (BHSHC) and the City of Berkeley's Public Health Clinic. This position has overall responsibility for the delivery of clinical care and supports other clinical staff.

This is an hourly, part-time position working up to 19 hours per week. It is not a benefited position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A typical way of gaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is:

• Equivalent to graduation from a Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution approved by the Physician Assistant Board of California (PAB) and one year of clinical experience in a health-related occupation; OR
• Equivalent to completion of a graduate-level Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited institution approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). Completion of an approved preceptorship and appropriate academic training in an area of specialization covering extended roles in traditional nursing and must meet all other requirements as an advanced practice registered nurse as specified in standards by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

AHA is seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Technician I to perform a range maintenance and alterations on Housing Authority buildings and facilities, HVAC, and other electrical and mechanical systems; identifying and evaluating construction-related problems; performing installation and repairs on plumbing systems; conducting property inspections, and coordinating with vendors on maintenance replacement and repair projects. TEEN CENTER/ KIDS NIGHT OUT PROGRAM STAFF

Salary Range: $17.37 to $28.95/hour depending on experience.

This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefitted position; 15-20 hours per week (not to exceed 950 hours per fiscal year); predominantly afternoon/early evening schedule with some weekends and concurrent with the school year.

SUPERVISION

General supervision received from the Program Coordinator. May exercise supervision of other staff depending on position.

GENERAL DUTIES

Responsible for general oversight of and ensuring the safety of the after-school youth programming. Specific responsibilities to include:

• Organize and execute a variety of daily and weekly activities for participants ranging in ages 5 –14   including art, crafts, and games
• Mentor and role model, strive to inspire and guide participants towards their full potential
• Maintain accurate attendance records on a daily and weekly basis
• Effectively facilitate and/or lead small and large groups of youth.
• Communicate effectively with participants, co-workers, parents, and supervisors
• Willing and available to work flexible hours as needed.
• Plan and execute duties related to special interest classes, school-year and seasonal programs, and special events.
• Serve as a role model and advocate for youth.
• Communicate effectively with youth and their parents.

Middle School (Teen Centers) 
Our Teen Centers provide a secure and entertaining atmosphere for middle school students to spend their after-school hours. The centers are furnished with game consoles, sports equipment, board games, and other amusing activities. We operate on early release days and select non-school days, but we are closed during holidays.

Kids’ Night Out and Kids’ Day Out Programs
Under the general supervision of the Youth Program Coordinator and direct supervision of the Youth Program Assistant, Youth Services staff is responsible for supervision and safety within the Kids’ Night Out and Kids’ Day Out programs, including implementing a variety of crafts, games and activities for youth ages 5 to 11. Kids’ Night Out takes place every other Friday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm and Kids’ Day Out takes place during the week there is no school in session excluding holidays. 

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prior to the start of employment, applicants must provide proof of authorization to work in the United States, current (negative) TB test results, and successfully pass a background check (LiveScan).

The Department

The Community Services Department plays a key role in enhancing the community and ensuring the citizens of Fremont receive excellent customer service through the management of recreation facilities, quality recreation and environmental programs, and park planning.

The Position

The Park Ranger/Naturalist will provide information and assistance to the public, as well as enforce laws, rules, regulations, and the Fremont Municipal Code. The primary focus of the position will be to assist with implementing the initiatives of the Homeless Task Force. Additionally, the incumbent may conduct natural resource protection and environmental education programs.

Examples of Job Duties

• Work in prescribed uniform and is responsible for general patrol and supervision of City of Fremont’s parks, plazas and trails.
• Interact and engage with unhoused populations on a daily basis, providing guidance and encouragement, enforcing laws and regulations and connecting community members with service providers.
• Perform homeless response strategies and mitigation efforts, such as posting notice to abate nuisance tags, collection on unattended property and removal of debris.
• Provide assistance and act as a liaison to the public, responding to questions concerning park and recreation facilities, programs, policies, and rules and regulations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and enforce the Fremont Municipal Code or other rules, regulations and ordinances pertaining to park operations within the City, including the issuance of citations.
