The Marinwood Community Services District Fire Department is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Firefighter-Paramedic.  The eligibility list established from this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies.  There is currently one (1) positions available for immediate appointment.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Marinwood Fire Department operates as a single station all-risk Advanced Life Support (ALS) engine company that includes nine (9) professional firefighters trained in areas of firefighting, ALS/BLS emergency response, technical rescue, disaster response, fire prevention, and community preparedness.  The department works closely with the City of San Rafael Fire Department under an existing Shared Services Agreement.  This includes San Rafael Fire Department providing all chief officer services, ambulance services, and joint training programs.  Our mission is to partner with our community to proactively reduce risk from fire, illness, injury and other hazards.

THE POSITION:

The City of San Rafael is recruiting for the position of Police Cadet (3 positions available).  This is an excellent job opportunity for students interested in law enforcement.  Under direct supervision, this fixed-term/limited term, civilian position provides general and specific information and assistance to the public.  The position also provides logistical assistance to all police department functions.  The primary assignments for the Cadet position are crime prevention, patrol support, and records/front office support.

The Planning Director will direct, oversee, and materially participate in the work of the City’s Planning Department, including current and long-range planning, maintenance of the General Plan, Housing Element, and zoning codes, and review of proposals for construction and development within the City of Sebastopol. The selected candidate will coordinate activities, permits, and projects with other City departments. The Planning Director performs professional planning duties in the fields of long-range planning, current planning, and building permitting, including a variety of diverse professional planning assignments.
