The City of Pacifica's Community Development Department is looking for a full time Code Enforcement Officer.
Through public education and enforcement, this position seeks the public's compliance with the City of Pacifica's Municipal Code and other related codes and ordinances in areas relating to, but not limited to, nuisance abatement, weed abatement, planning and zoning related issues. The Code Enforcement Officer coordinates with the Planning, Public Works, and Building Inspection Divisions and establishes and maintains a citywide monitoring system for tracking complaints and compliance and will perform other duties as required.
This is a skilled position involving the enforcement of the City's ordinances and the abatement of nuisance conditions. Responsibilities include the regular contact with property owners, representatives of business or community organizations, and the general public in investigating complaints of ongoing violations and nuisance problems. The incumbent spends a significant portion of time working independently.
