Come join our collaborative and supportive department today. The City of Sebastopol is seeking an outgoing, empathetic, responsible, problem-solver to serve as a Police Communications Dispatcher. The Police Communications Dispatcher receives and processes routine and emergency calls. The incumbent will dispatch police and enter, retrieve, and use data from various automated law enforcement information systems. The successful candidate will coordinate with and transfer calls to other emergency service providers as appropriate. The individual will perform a variety of clerical and technical duties in support of the department’s operations. In addition, they will learn applicable policies, procedures, and work methods associated with assigned duties, and perform other related duties as required. This recruitment is to fill a full-time and per-diem position and create a list for anticipated future vacancies. We will be creating two lists, one for already POST-certified dispatchers and one for entry-level dispatchers.

THE DEPARTMENT

The Community Development Department, also known as CDD, is organized into four divisions — Building, Code Enforcement, Housing, and Planning. CDD has broad responsibilities including, but not limited to, long-range planning, review of applications for new developments, implementation of the City’s housing programs, and maintenance of neighborhoods. THE POSITION

• Perform technical level administrative duties in support of the City’s Below Market-Rate (BMR) Housing Program
• Research, collect, and analyze data and prepare draft reports related to the City’s BMR Program
• Create and manage workflows and administrative procedures for annual compliance monitoring of the City’s BMR portfolio
• Conduct BMR unit transactions, including BMR sales and re-sales, refinances and loan payoffs, and leasing of BMR/affordable housing rental units, in collaboration with City’s contracted BMR real estate agent and/or property managers of BMR/affordable housing properties
• Provide technical assistance on BMR program issues to Housing Division management and to property managers and tenants/owners of BMR housing
• Interpret City policies, procedures, laws, and regulations in response to public inquiries and complaints about BMR and affordable housing

The Administrative Technician receives general supervision from the Housing Manager or higher-level department personnel.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver classification is the entry and first working level of this series. 
Employees at this level perform a variety of duties related to the shipping, receiving, storing and issuing of District supplies, equipment, mail and food. Incumbents drive a District vehicle along an assigned route. The Senior Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver classification performs the more complex warehousing and record keeping duties and participates in the shipping, receiving, storing and issuing of District supplies, equipment, mail and food. Employees at this level may provide direction and training to employees in the Warehouse Worker/Delivery Driver classification.

Under the general direction of the Deputy Executive Director of Projects, the Director of Project Delivery will Plan, organize, manage, and provide oversight of assigned staff and consultants in the delivery of capital projects.
