Position Duties

San José Public Library(SJPL) is recruiting a Senior Librarian to join the Library's Public Engagement Division as the Web Services Manager. This position will help shape, maintain, and enhance the Library’s digital presence and web-based platforms, including: 

1. Public Website (www.sjpl.org)

2. Library catalog and events calendar

3. Joint website with San José State University King Library (www.sjlibrary.org)

4. Sierra - Integrated Library System (ILS) 

5. SharePoint

6. SJPL Blog Team

7. External digital library profiles and public-facing platforms (Google My Business & Apple Business Connect)
    

The Web Services Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all web-related matters and is responsible for the development, maintenance, and performance of the Library’s web infrastructure. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting web issues, ensuring accessibility, and security compliance.

This position will supervise a team of two full-time and one part-time staff members, and will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, Library leadership, external partners, and vendors to ensure seamless integration and functionality across platforms.

In addition, the Web Services Manager will also actively participate in the City’s Digital Privacy and Artificial Intelligence Working Groups, and up hold Library privacy and ethics standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Serve as project manager and technical subject matter expert for all web-related initiatives

• Lead the team in developing and maintaining engaging, accessible, and user-friendly digital content

• Collaborate with the Library’s Marketing and Communications Unit to align web content with SJPL’s branding, public awareness campaigns, and strategic initiatives

• Oversee compliance with ADA standards, digital and data privacy, readability, and language access

• Conduct regular audits of website content, performance, and security, as well accessibility and usability testing

• Perform scheduled website maintenance and updates 

• Analyze and report on web analytics to inform improvements and enhance user engagement utilizing Google Analytics and Looker Studio

• Stay up to date with emerging digital and technology trends relevant to libraries and public sector

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and manage websites, web applications, and custom code 

• Apply knowledge of SEO tools and strategies

• Evaluate, pilot, and implement new web tools and solutions

• Web content management systems and optimization

• Review vendor privacy policies and guide staff on privacy best practices

• Understanding of AI ethics and implementation

• Vendor management

• Apply user experience (UX) principles to improve usability and design

• Proficiency with platforms such as SharePoint, Sierra, Beanstack, Gtranslate, SpringShare, and Bibliocommons

We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Architect to oversee and coordinate the planning, design, and construction of County-owned facilities. About Engineering & Program Delivery Division

This division is responsible for the design and construction of all capital projects and infrastructure required to provide a safe, reliable and efficient transportation system for Santa Clara County. These responsibilities include program and project management, design development, engineering management, project controls, construction management and turnover of various projects that are part of VTA's rail, facilities and highway transportation improvement programs.

This division is also responsible for the implementation of the projects identified in the 2000 Measure A Program, which includes the planning, design, and construction of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART Silicon Valley) Project. ABOUT THE POSITION
The City of Gilroy is recruiting for multiple full-time Maintenance Worker I positions in our Water Section to help ensure every home, business, school, and park has access to clean and reliable water. From maintaining water lines to supporting emergency repairs, your work will directly impact the daily lives of our residents. For this recruitment, preference will be given to candidates who possess a State of CA D1 Water Distribution Certification, a Class A driver’s license, experience operating heavy equipment, and/or underground construction experience.

Although current vacancies are all in the Water section, this recruitment will also create an eligibility list for future openings in our other sections – Parks and Landscapes, and Streets/Stormwater & Drainage/Trees and the Wastewater Section. Interested candidates should apply and get on the eligibility list in the event an opening occurs in the future giving you the opportunity to explore a variety of career paths within public service. Eligibility lists are typically good for one year and may be extended for an additional year. 

The Water Section personnel are responsible for planning, operation, and maintenance of the City’s wells, and water distribution system ensuring a safe and reliable supply of drinking water. The duties also include managing booster pumps, reservoirs, routine system maintenance, water sampling and the monthly reading of all water meters. Additionally, they oversee the City of Gilroy’s Backflow Prevention Program to ensure compliance with California State regulations.

The Streets/Stormwater & Drainage/Trees Section personnel are responsible for maintaining and repairing the City's improved and unimproved streets, curbs and gutters, bikeways, public parking lots and parking lots at City facilities. Streets/Stormwater/Trees also cleans and maintains the storm drains throughout the City and provides 24-hour emergency tree response, neighborhood tree clearance pruning, removal and replacement of dead and unsound trees, planting trees in new subdivisions, as well as processing permits for citizens who want to plant, prune or remove a City tree. In addition, the team performs maintenance and repairs to the Cities stormwater infrastructure.

The Parks/Landscape Section personnel are responsible for planning and developing new parks, and landscaping within those parks. Responsibilities extend to maintaining landscaped areas, such as median islands in the downtown public right of way and throughout the City. The team also maintains and provides a weed abatement program around sound walls and around City owned facilities. Parks/Landscape maintains turf, irrigation, and park amenities such as, playgrounds, restrooms, an athletic complex and equipment throughout the park system and City facilities.Under direct supervision of supervisor, this position performs work in one of the sections as assigned: Water, Wastewater, Parks & Landscape, or Streets/Stormwater & Drainage/Trees. Employees in this job classification may rotate/transfer between the sections noted above as determined by the City and will be required to fully meet the job requirements, including the obtaining of certifications, when assigned to a specific for an extended period of time.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The goal of maintenance operations is to enhance the quality of life for those who live, work, and visit the City of Gilroy. This is achieved by maintaining and preserving the City’s infrastructure through reliable, high-quality services that support public health, safety, and sustainability. The Operations team is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of essential services and public assets in accordance with state and federal regulations and industry best practices.

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL

• Have knowledge and related experience in one or more areas of municipal maintenance: street maintenance, wastewater distribution system maintenance, tree maintenance, and maintenance of city parks and landscaped areas. Given that the current openings are in the Water Section, candidates with experience pertaining to the work performed by this section will be given the strongest preference. 
• Be customer service oriented with the ability to communicate clearly with members of the public. 
• Have strong record keeping skills with the ability to effectively document work completed in public works software. 
• Possess a clean driving record with a commitment to safe driving at all times. A Class A driver’s license at time of hire is preferred. 
• Have experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, dump trucks, backhoes, etc. 
• Have certifications and training in one or more areas of public works operations such as a Playground Inspection Certification, CWEA Water Collection System Grade I Certification, Qualified/Pesticide Applicator Certification, State CA Grade I Water Distribution and/or Water Treatment Certification, or other similar certifications. 
• Have knowledge and experience with work zone safety plans and set up. 
• Be safety oriented and have current knowledge of safety practices related to the work. 
• Be team-oriented and easy to get along with in a group setting. 
• Have a solid track record of being reliable and dependable – at work and on time each day. 
• Show initiative and have a “can do” and “get it right the first time” attitude. 
• Be high energy and excited to perform assigned work. 
• Have ability to follow both oral and written instructions. 

Water Section:

1. Perform general maintenance work on the water system, as well as repairs and replacement of water mains, water services, fire hydrants and water meters.
2. Perform building maintenance on water system facilities.
3. Take water quality samples per State of California regulations.
4. Read water meters.
5. May assist with backflow tests on City-owned backflow assemblies.
6. May assist with cross-connection surveys on City and private premises.

1. Perform landscape and ground maintenance around public buildings, recreation facilities, rights-of-way, and open areas.
2. Perform irrigation maintenance and repairs as necessary.
3. Remove garbage and litter from assigned facilities.
4. Clean and maintain park buildings and restrooms.
5. Assist in park development when required.
6. Perform or coordinate necessary plumbing, carpentry, painting, and related building maintenance and vandalism repair as assigned.
7. Work closely with the Recreation Division, other City departments, allied agencies, and the public to coordinate maintenance schedules with the use of assigned facilities.
8. Perform work in the support of the Recreation Division such as reservations, ball field preparation and clean-up, and special event preparation and clean up.
9. Take appropriate action, such as notifying a supervisor or appropriate authorities, when laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to public use of the parks and municipal facilities are not being followed.
10. May be assigned to work in different facilities throughout the City.
11. May coordinate requisition, procurement, and storage of janitorial supplies.
12. May perform support services during major functions that occur in City facilities.

1. Perform general maintenance and repair work involved in streets, trees, and storm drains.
2. May assist in building maintenance as assigned.

7. Perform disaster relief work as required.
8. Perform related work as necessary and required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum twelfth (12th) grade education or G.E.D.
• One (1) year of construction, maintenance, or landscape experience. Prior work for a public agency or other similar service industry preferred, but not required.
• Possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License and a safe driving record necessary to operate assigned vehicle(s).
• Possess and maintain a valid California Class A Driver License within 12 months of hire/transfer. May be required to obtain endorsements. Must participate in the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Testing program, which includes submission to random drug and alcohol testing at such time the employee possesses a commercial license permit or a commercial license.  
• When assigned to the Water Section, will be required to obtain a State of California Grade I Water Distribution Certification within twelve months of hire or transfer.
• When assigned to the Parks and Landscape Section, will be required to obtain a Qualified Applicators Certificate with any one Category within twelve months of hire or transfer.
• When assigned to the Street/ Wastewater/ Trees Section, must demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the following pieces of equipment within twelve months of hire or transfer: backhoe, paint truck, or Vactor. A training certificate may be required.
• Per the AFSCME MOU, due to stand-by and call out duties, employee assigned to the Water and Streets/Wastewater/Trees Sections must reside within sixty (60) minutes normal driving time of the City Corporation Yard prior to the completion of one year of work. Normal driving time is the most direct route, at the speed limit. Residency within the sixty (60) minute response must be maintained during the course of employment.
• May be subject to scheduled 7 day paid standby duty on a rotating basis.
• Subject to recall on a scheduled and/or emergency basis.
• Pass an employment background check which includes a Department of Justice criminal record check.
• Pass a post-offer medical examination, which includes a drug test.

The salary ranges for the Analyst I/II classifications are:

Analyst I: $ $89,849.76 - $109,200.00

Analyst II: $ $98,039.76 - $119,159.04

All ranges include an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable pay. Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate’s qualifications and experience.

The San Jose Public Library is currently seeking to fill one (1) Analyst I/II vacancy that will report to a Senior Analyst of the Finance and Business Services (FBS) Unit.

The positions’ duties and its responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to, the following:

• Management and oversight of the Library ‘s operating budget, including but not limited to, accurate tracking and monitoring of expenditures and revenues, maintaining precise financial records, performing calculations and forecasting, organizing and analyzing data, and making actionable insights and recommendations.
• Prepares various reports and memos; assembles and analyzes data; summarizes findings; proposes or suggests appropriate actions including reallocation of resources; works cross-departmentally to facilitate fiscal and budget requests.
• Providing support and expertise in the development and administration of all fiscal and accounting related activities, including payroll, accounts billable/payable, procurement and contract/grants. Review and approve financial transactions, purchase orders, and awarded contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and funding guidelines.

• Evaluates and prepares recommendations on fiscal management; prepares and revises policy and procedures; develops instructional materials; designs and maintains monitoring system for fiscal processes; provides training to project managers and unit leads and assists in the implementation of improved systems or organization.

• Produce timely and accurate monthly and ad hoc budget and fiscal reports for budget and expenditure tracking for Library project managers and Library management.

The incumbent will perform technical and programmatic aspects, requiring the interpretation and application of regulations, policies, and procedures to determine the eligibility of program services, ensuring accurate processing of data, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience likely to provide the required core competencies may be considered. A typical combination that is qualifying may include:

• An associate degree with coursework in liberal arts, humanities, social work, business, public administration, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of responsible experience providing direct client services including caseload management functions with an assisted housing or other social services program and customer service.
• A bachelor’s degree is desirable.
• Bilingual skills are desired, but not required.

The Woodland Police Department is staffed with 71 sworn officers, 18 professional employees, and 8 part-time temporary professional employees. The City of Woodland Police Department is looking for lateral officer candidates who are currently employed as a California peace officer, have two years of experience and possess a California POST Basic Certificate or are have formerly been employed as a California peace officer, possess a California POST Basic Certificate and have not had more than a three-year break in service as a California Peace Officer. ABOUT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Woodland Police Department is staffed with 72 sworn officers, 18 professional employees, and 8 part-time temporary professional employees. Our staffing is expected to expand in size as the City grows. The Department is managed by a Chief of Police, a Deputy Chief, 3 Lieutenants, 10 Sergeants, and a Police Records Supervisor. The Department has three Bureaus; Patrol, Investigations, and Community Relations. Police Officers are assigned to all Bureaus where they work in various capacities and teams.   Within the Bureaus are many specialty units including K-9, Traffic/Motors, School Resource Officers, Gang Task Force, Detectives, and Homeless Outreach Street Team.  There are a number of collateral duties available to officers including SWAT, Crisis Negotiations Team, Field Training Officer, Honor Guard, Arrest & Control Instructors, Firearms Instructors, Gang Resistance Education, and Training (G.R.E.A.T) instructors, Social Media Team, Recruitment, and Bicycle Patrol. Woodland is a city of approximately 60,000 residents. Incorporated in 1871, Woodland is conveniently located on I-5 just 12 miles northwest of Sacramento and 9 miles north of U.C. Davis. Asset Management Coordinator

How You Will Make an Impact:

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is seeking an Asset Management Coordinator to support the agency's affordable housing initiatives and asset management goals. The Coordinator handles a mix of technical and administrative tasks, including responding to inquiries, researching and compiling information, and managing specialized reporting projects. Additionally, the role involves tracking and reconciling financial, operational, and statistical records. The Coordinator also provides confidential support to management, staff, and various boards. This position assists with onboarding new hires and manages office arrangements for team members. It's a dynamic position requiring a mix of organizational skills and attention to detail.

This position requires knowledge of asset management, property maintenance, construction project management, capital planning and systems management, budget preparation, and financial modeling to analyze portfolio performance.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in community development, business, economics, urban planning, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field; and

A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience performing asset management, real estate development, property management, and/or construction management functions.

Certification as a California Notary public is desirable.

Certifications in Section 8 and LIHTC compliance, Fair Housing and Excel experience is desirable.

Possession of a valid California Driver's License and satisfactory driving record at the time of appointment is required as a condition of initial and continued employment only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than the employee's ability to get to/from various work locations promptly, is necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant II to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing a range of complex and varied technical and professional accounting tasks, including auditing, analyzing, and verifying financial records and reports. The incumbent will play a crucial role in managing the financial activities of an affordable housing portfolio of about 30 properties. This would include the preparation of financial and statistical reports, coordinate annual audits, assist with budget preparation, and ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial statements.

Collaboration skills to work with property accountants who manage the accounting activities for the affordable housing properties. A solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and strong data analysis skills are highly preferred, along with proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
