POSITION HIGHLIGHTS 

1. Leadership and Collaboration: Lead the citywide budget process, guide staff, and support senior management in decisions 

2. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare financial reports, analyze data, provide long-term financial forecasting, and provide insight 

3. Capital Improvement Projects Financial Management: Oversee the overall financial management of the City’s capital improvement projects and assist departments with budget administration, financial analysis, and budget adjustments.  

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a forward-thinking and results-driven Budget Officer to play a pivotal leadership role in the Finance Department. This is a unique opportunity to shape the City’s financial planning and guide high-impact initiatives that support citywide service delivery and long-term fiscal sustainability.  

As the strategic leader of the City’s biennial budget process, the Budget Officer collaborates with all departments, provides key insights to executive leadership, and ensures transparent, data-informed decision-making. With the City currently implementing a new budget software, the successful candidate will take ownership of the system and be responsible for producing the final budget documents in both print and digital formats. As part of this effort, the Budget Officer will lead a refresh of the City’s performance measures, working with departments to integrate meaningful, outcome-focused metrics into the budget. 

The City is preparing to undertake a comprehensive ERP system replacement, and the Budget Officer will serve as a key member of the implementation team, helping to shape financial functionality and ensure a smooth transition to the new platform.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Budget Strategy, Development, and Reporting 

• Lead the development and administration of the City’s biennial Operating and Capital Improvement budgets  

• Lead the development and administration of the City’s biennial User Fees, Fines, and Penalties Schedule 

• Lead the development and administration of the City’s annual Cost Allocation Plan  

• Collaborate with departments to align financial resources with City goals and priorities 

• Develop multi-year financial forecasts and monitor trends to support long-term planning  

• Write clear, concise, and effective staff reports to communicate complex financial information to City leadership and the public 

• Prepare and present budget reports and other financial information for internal and external stakeholders 

System Implementation and Innovation 

• Take ownership of the City’s new budget software system and the development of the online and PDF versions of the Adopted Operating and CIP budgets  

• Streamline and improve the City’s Monthly Financial Report  

• Play a key role in the planning and implementation of the City’s future ERP system replacement 

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative processes 

 Financial Reporting & Capital Management 

• Oversee capital asset budgeting and coordinate with departments on project funding and tracking  

• Analyze financial and operational data to provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership 

• Develop tools and reports to improve transparency and decision-making across the organization 

Leadership & Collaboration 

• Supervise and mentor direct report(s), fostering ownership, accountability, and professional growth  

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the Finance Director and senior management 

• Coordinate cross-departmental efforts and facilitate a collaborative, service-oriented budget process 

Communication & Training 

• Deliver clear and effective presentations to staff, senior management, and City Council on budgetary reports, issues, policies, and financial data  

• Lead cross-departmental training efforts on budget systems, financial procedures, and reporting tools 

• Translate complex financial concepts inaccessible information for non-financial audiences  

This is one of newer programs within the Marysville Fire Department.  The Marysville Fire Department is hiring continuously for three (3) Seasonal Firefighters.  

For this position, each hour worked will be paid at $16.50, that will be paid monthly in accordance with the City of Marysville's established pay schedule, with a maximum of 960 hours per appointment. 

Upon successful completion of POST Academy, the position becomes a full-time probationary Police Officer position.

Under direct supervision, the Police Academy Recruit attends a basic Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified training academy to obtain the basic skills and fitness level necessary for the performance of Police Officer duties.  This position requires a thorough background investigation, psychological assessment, and a medical exam prior to appointment. This is the non-sworn, entry-level classification in the Police Officer series. Incumbents in this classification receive training in a controlled classroom environment.  Advancement to the sworn Police Officer position is based on meeting minimum qualification standards and satisfactory performance in the academy.

POLICE OFFICER - Academy Graduate - $8,134 to $11,030 per month (up to $12,684 with incentives)

The City of Pleasant Hill is currently seeking applicants for Police Officer Academy Graduate. We offer excellent pay, benefits, opportunities for promotion, as well as the opportunity to serve a great community that values the services we provide.

Police Officers can serve in patrol, traffic, investigations, and K-9 assignments. Other collateral opportunities include instructor positions (Firearms and Force Options Team), Regional SWAT, Mobile Field Force, 10851 Task Force, CSI, Regional Major Accident Investigation Team, Driving Team with firearms and force options team, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), FBI Safe Streets Task Force, SET Team, Drone Team, Social Media Team, Community Resource Officer, School Resource Officer, and Field Training Officers. Specialty assignments may add an additional 5% pay. 

Officers work 12-hour shifts as part of a team concept. Shift schedules include 4-10 and 3-12, which may be changed periodically as job assignments may be rotated among patrol, traffic, and criminal investigation.  Night shifts include 5% additional pay. 

EDUCATION:

Academy Graduates (no sworn experience) - High school diploma and a minimum of 45 units of college-level course work, in addition to graduation from a P.O.S.T. basic academy.

Academy Graduate candidates with an honorable discharge may be credited with up to 15 semester units for a minimum of 3 years of active duty in the U.S. Armed Services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard).

THE POSITION

Tri-City is now actively recruiting for a Clinical Supervisor I or II to lead the MHSSA Grant Team within Tri-City's Child & Family Clinic. This position is a part of a newly federally funded MHSSA Grant Team set to end in December 2026  The Clinical Supervisor I/II position will report to the Clinical Program Manager and will supervise a four staff including Clinical Therapists and Mental Health Specialists.

This position is responsible for a variety of ongoing responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Collaborate with grant partners, assisting with partner meetings and meeting all grant requirements, i.e. data gathering, service implementation, maintaining ongoing collaboration and participating in trainings);

• Provide individual and group supervision to MHSSA Grant staff including clinicians and mental health support workers; train on Department of Mental Health documentation & review documentation to ensure compliance;

• Will provide guidance to subordinates on Agency philosophy, goals, objectives, policies and procedures through casework conferences, staff meetings, and work review;

• Will participate in creating programs that will increase access to mental health services in locations throughout the community that are easily accessible for students and their families;

• Create and foster partnerships with the local school districts, County Office of Education and local charter schools;

• Work directly with or work with staff who work directly with at high-risk youth, foster youth, youth who identify as LGBTQ+, and youth who have been suspended or expelled from school and their families to provide culturally inclusive and relevant mental health services such as early intervention, suicide prevention, drop-out prevention, evidence based mental health practices and the development and coordination of service plans to address ongoing needs;

• Will assist and participate in the development and coordination of in-service training and staff development programs;

• Will analyze existing caseloads and forecast resource needs; May also carry a caseload;

• Will implement and ensure compliance with mandated documentation and quality assurance requirements to ensure efficient and effective operation of the unit in compliance with federal and state regulations;

• Participate in the monthly on-call rotation and provide crisis interview & assessments; and other duties as assigned.

The City of Menlo Park is currently accepting applications to fill a Mechanic vacancy in the Fleet Services Section of the Public Works Department. A Mechanic performs diagnostic, maintenance and repair services on light and heavy city vehicles and equipment, such as automobiles, storm/sewer trucks, aerial bucket trucks, dump trucks shuttle buses, construction equipment, lawn mowers, small equipment and stationary generators; and performs other duties as assigned.

The Mechanic performs a range of skilled tasks requiring journey level mechanical ability and aptitude. Work assignments are performed according to established rules and procedures. Independent judgment is required and is supported by supervisory review and direction.

Equipment Mechanic

Responsible for performing the full range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, gasoline and diesel repair and maintenance required for City vehicles, and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting and attending to assigned areas in a timely manner, and performing a wide variety of tasks in the maintenance and repair of assigned vehicles and equipment. Incumbents are expected to work independently and exercise judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. This class is distinguished from other maintenance class series in that it performs more highly skilled technical and mechanical maintenance activities. This class is distinguished from Senior Equipment Mechanic in that the latter leads, trains, and oversees assigned work and performs the more complex and difficult work in mechanical maintenance and repair of City vehicles and equipment.
