POSITION

Positions in this class are flexibly staffed and are normally filled by advancement from the lower class of Librarian Program Manager I, or when filled from the outside, require prior professional library work experience.  Appointment to the higher class requires that the employee be performing substantially the full range of duties for the class and meet the qualification standards for the class. Work in this class is distinguished from that of a Library Program Manager I by greater complexity of the assignments received and by greater independence with which an incumbent is expected to operate.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Develops and interprets division policies.
• Coordinates program planning and service delivery for the division.

THE POSITION:

The Firefighter is responsible for combating fires, providing medical response and care for the sick or injured, protecting life and property, and operating and maintaining firefighting equipment and fire stations. The Firefighter will actively participate in fire prevention, code enforcement, public education, and training programs.

Serving as both the backbone and heartbeat of the operations team, Supervising Communications Dispatchers lead and coordinate operations of a shift or an assigned function, and must be familiar with all disciplines of the Centeroperations. The City of Foster City is looking for an experienced maintenance worker with a specialization in irrigation systems to fill the position of Irrigation Technician with the City's Park and Recreations Department. The position performs a variety of activities in the installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of irrigation systems and related equipment in all City landscape irrigation systems. This is an advanced journey-level maintenance classification with specialization in irrigation systems.

Education and Experience
Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities. A typical way would be:

Education: Completion of the twelfth (12th) grade or equivalent.

Experience: Two (2) years of experience working in landscape/irrigation, public works or parks maintenance experience, including experience in design of irrigation systems.

Licenses, Certificates, Registration

• Possession of a valid California Class "C" and Class "B" Driver's License. Must obtain valid California Class “B” Driver’s License within six months of appointment.
• Possession of a Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers Certificate from the American Water Works Association (AWWA) is required within twelve (12) months of appointment.
• A Landscape Irrigation Auditor Certificate is desirable.
• An Irrigation Technician Certificate is desirable.

Selection Process

The ADA Analyst is responsible for ensuring accessibility compliance across our bus stops, transit centers, vehicles, and facilities for San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans) and Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Authority (Caltrain).  Under the direction of the ADA Administrator, the successful candidate must be able to work independently, communicate effectively, and maintain strong working relationships with staff, consultants, and the public. A solid background in ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance, accessibility standards, and/or building codes is essential.

• Support the ADA Administrator in the development, coordination, and implementation of the ADA Transition Plan and Self-Evaluation.
• Ensure accessibility considerations are integrated into agency planning, operations, and capital projects.

Minimum Qualifications

Sufficient experience, training and/or education to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. In lieu of a degree, work-related experience that demonstrates the skills and experience necessary to perform this role will be accepted. Development of the required knowledge and abilities is typically obtained through but not limited to: 

• A Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in accessibility compliance, ADA analysis, building inspection, or directly related field.
• Professional working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and accessibility standards.
• Able to conduct field inspections in San Mateo and neighboring counties.

• Able to possess a valid CA driver’s license with a good driving record.

• Develop project objectives, scope, delivery schedules, and services agreements with internal staff and stakeholders to drive long-term and short-term projects to success.

• Use analytics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to guide project direction, prioritize tasks, and shape marketing strategy.

• Lead copywriting efforts for strategic marketing campaigns on public-facing websites and blogs for SamTrans, Caltrain, TA, and SMCEL, as needed.

• Responsible for the accurate and contextual translation of marketing campaign content into English and other languages primarily used by agency customers.

• Hold stakeholders in other departments and divisions accountable to deadlines.

• Collaborate with the Creative Services in development of multimedia content creation in support of marketing campaigns for use across digital, web, radio, TV, and other mediums.

• Perform ongoing project management, oversight, and budget monitoring for communications and marketing projects.

• Prepare marketing campaign reports. Track campaign metrics (CTR, conversions, ROI), evaluate outcomes against targets, and recommend optimizations.

• Act as primary point of contact for marketing and communications projects with external stakeholders about regional marketing campaigns as necessary.

• Manage shared data and documentation using SharePoint and District Hub as necessary.

• Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a safe manner to protect oneself, fellow employees, and the public from injury or harm. Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures to reduce or eliminate accidents.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Sufficient experience, training and/or education to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. In lieu of a degree, work-related experience that demonstrates the skills and experience necessary to perform this role will be accepted. Development of the required knowledge and abilities is typically obtained through but not limited to:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or a closely related field.
• Five (5) years of full-time progressive experience in integrated marketing or program management of communications projects.

• Experience leading and managing complex communications or marketing projects. 
• Professional working experience leading marketing campaigns for public transit agencies.
• Experience with stakeholder management, ability to build rapport with stakeholders as needed.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using project management software (Trello, Monday.com, etc.)

The City of Dixon is recruiting qualified Lifeguard/Swim Instructor I/II applicants for the 2026 Aquatic season.

Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor and Senior Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, Lifeguard/Swim Instructor performs a variety of duties to ensure the City of Dixon swimming pool is a safe and enjoyable aquatic facility. Supervises pool patrons, enforces pool rules, performs first aid and emergency rescues, instructs swim lessons, performs cashiering duties, leads recreational activities; performs related and other work as required.

Staff may be expected to work weekends and on fixed holidays.  Those who work on a City Holiday will earn 1 1/2 times their base hourly salary.

Incorporated in 1874, the City of Wheatland is located at the gateway of California’s ‘Mother Lode’ gold rush country, approximately 34 miles north of Sacramento and 107 miles north of San Francisco. Wheatland is one of two incorporated cities in Yuba County. THE ORGANIZATION
The City of Wheatland operates under the Council/Manager form of government. The city is governed by five Councilmembers elected at-large, each serving four-year terms. The City Council appoints the City Manager and City Attorney. The City of Wheatland currently operates with a staff of 28 positions and provides a full array of municipal services including public safety, streets maintenance, parks, water and wastewater utilities, and administration. The city’s total budget for the current year is $11.1 million. 

ABOUT THE POSITION
 Under policy direction from the City Council, the City Manager serves as the chief executive officer for the City; The City Manager plans, manages, organizes and directs the overall administrative activities and operations of the City, develops and implements budget and financial strategies for the City and provides complex administrative support to the City Council. The City Manager develops and recommends policies, procedures, rules, and regulations governing City operations for presentation and approval from the City Council and ensures proper communication and implementation of policy decisions. This position directs the preparation of staff reports and agenda items and ensures that all City Council actions are properly recorded and implemented.
