The City of San Rafael, Child Care Division is accepting applications for Child Care Aide to work in our School-Age Program.  We are looking for people who are available Monday thru Friday from 2:00 – 6:00 pm.  This is a great part-time position for someone who attends school in the morning.  No weekend work required!

This position performs the following essential job duties (including but not limited to):

• Assist Director and Instructors in planning and implementing activities.
• Assist in the supervision of children at the child care center or on outings/trips.

Sausalito Parks and Recreation is Seeking Vibrant Skilled Recreation Leaders

This recruitment is for Fall Events and Activities such as Bocce and Volleyball Referee, Chili Cook-off, A Toast to Sausalito, and other fun classes, activities, and events. The ideal candidate will be available Monday through Thursday for at least one evening shift per week August 18th through October 30th.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50/ Hr

The City of Sausalito is recruiting for part-time temporary help for the fall season of recreation activities and City-wide events.  The first of these is the Bocce League referee.  

Bocce Referee
As a Sausalito Parks and Recreation Bocce Referee, you are responsible for set-up, management, and cleanup of scheduled Bocce matches. You are the enforcer of rules, an impartial judge, and an advocate for fun and fair play, all while maintaining a positive attitude and providing a friendly environment when communicating with teams and keeping score. This position reports directly to the Recreation Supervisor.  The ideal candidate must meet all minimum requirements as listed below and be confident and capable of dealing with conflict and intense games.  

Event Staff

As a Sausalito Parks and Recreation Event Staff member, you are responsible for actively participating in set-up, cleanup, and management of your assigned event.  You must arrive on time and remain until the event leader releases you after the event.   Event staff may set up chairs, tables, stages, corridors, and barriers.  You may be asked to perform traffic control or direct drivers to parking.  The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, meet all of the minimum requirements below, remain calm under pressure and in the face of adversity, be cheerful, friendly, and love the diversity of people. 

The minimum requirements for the position are:

• Reliable transportation to and from games or events
• Ability and commitment to arrive on time and remain until duties are completed and you are released
• Confidence and capability to manage conflict with grace and calm
• Commitment to long hours, days, evenings, or on weekends depending on the assigned event schedule
• Must be 14 years of age or older and must obtain a WORK PERMIT if under 18

This position performs engineering work, project management, construction management, design work, and other engineering and technical services for the District; reviews development projects to ensure conformance with District standards; makes calculations, administers contracts, maintains records, provides engineering support to District departments, conducts studies regarding capital projects, assists in the budgeting process for project expenditures, and performs related work as required.

The City of Colfax is currently accepting applications for Maintenance Worker I. This is an entry level position in the Public Works department requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience in a semi-skilled maintenance occupation. Typical duties include: landscape maintenance, electrical and plumbing repairs, minor construction and light carpentry projects, cleaning public restrooms, keeping public streets and parks clean and in good repair. The employee will check storm drains, culverts and ditches; operate tools and equipment to patch and repair pavement, construct and maintain gutters, sidewalks and other incidental improvements. The ability to operate power tools and work safely, wearing appropriate PPE. Occasional maintenance will be required for the wastewater treatment plant and collection systems. PAL (Police Activities League) Program Attendants work in the formal Suisun City classification of Recreation Specialist I. Starting hourly rate will depend on qualifications. This position works on average 19 hours per week.

The Department: The Recreation, Parks and Marina Department is responsible for the operations and programs of the Suisun City Marina, the Senior Center and the Joseph A. Nelson Center, including preschool, after-school programs at various sites, recreation classes and sports leagues, community events and special event rentals.

The Position: PAL Program Attendants work with Suisun City’s PAL Program and with area teenagers ages 13-19 to implement educational and recreational activities: tutoring, sports, games, mini-excursions, competitions, contests, seminars, and special events, and provide general support to the program’s Recreation Supervisor. We’re looking for highly motivated people with a customer service orientation who genuinely enjoy helping others and who are flexible problem-solvers.
