Position Summary

The Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer plays a key role in providing essential fitness instruction and personalized training programs to help individuals achieve their health and fitness goals. The responsibilities include instructing group fitness classes, offering personal training sessions, designing customized fitness programs for clients, ensuring safe and effective exercises, motivating and encouraging participants, providing feedback and adjustments to exercises, and monitoring clients' progress for continuous improvement. This role will also be providing excellent customer service, addressing fitness-related inquiries, maintaining a positive and motivating environment for everyone, and ensuring the fitness facility is clean, safe, and fully operational. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.  

• Certification in personal training or group fitness instruction required (e.g., ACE, NASM, or other recognized certification).  

• At least one year of experience in fitness instruction, personal training, or a related field preferred.  

• Experience in group instruction and one-on-one training is highly desirable. 

 

Knowledge and Skills

This position requires a knowledge of general fitness principles, exercise techniques, and wellness practices, instructing and motivating individuals or groups in a fitness setting, excellent communication to provide clear instruction and positive feedback and assessing client needs and creating individualized fitness programs. The position also requires ability to operate and maintain fitness equipment safely. 

Special Requirements: 

• Current certification in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). 

• Fitness certifications (e.g., Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor) from a nationally recognized organization.

POSITION DESCRIPTION 
 

The City of San Bruno Community Services Departments is hiring for a Library Page position at the San Bruno Public Library. The Library Page position is an entry-level, part-time role with limited benefits. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in playing a key role in the library's daily operations. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available to work 14-19 hours per week, including weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays, to meet the library's scheduling needs.

 

Under the general supervision of library staff, Library Pages perform routine tasks to maintain the organization of the library collections, including the shelving, sorting, and filing of books, magazines, audiovisual materials, and other library materials. Pages also clean and mend library materials, help set-up for various Library programs, assist in the opening and closing of the Library building for public access, and perform other clerical tasks as needed.

 

This role is physically active and requires regular movement and exertion. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing physical tasks for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment. THE POSITION

The City of Redwood City is looking for a dynamic, energetic, team oriented full-time (40-hours per week) Library Services Supervisor to manage, direct and coordinate a work area of the Youth Services and Community Engagement Division.  This individual will also work closely with the Library Division Manager to plan and deliver library programs for youth, coordinate the activities of the Library Makerspace, create the weekly customer service schedule, supervise staff, assist with marketing projects and other duties as assigned. About the Role

The Town of Los Altos Hills is seeking an experienced, motivated, and community-oriented Associate Planner to join our small but dynamic Planning team. Under the supervision of the Director, the Associate Planner will work on a wide variety of current and long-range planning efforts. The Department of Housing is a catalyst for increasing access to high-quality affordable housing for households earning a variety of incomes, and supporting related community development activities, so that housing and robust services exist for people of all income levels and ages in San Mateo County. The Department consists of two divisions: Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo.

 

HCD is recruiting for a Housing and Community Development Specialist II/III position. Reporting to the HCD Deputy Director of Real Estate Development and Asset Management, the Housing and Community Development Specialist II/III positions will engage in a variety of functions aimed at increasing the supply of affordable housing throughout San Mateo County and forging partnerships to address critical housing needs. The open position is on the Asset Management Team.

 

The ideal candidate for this position has broad experience with real estate lending asset management, as well as specific experience managing affordable housing loans and assets in a public sector housing department, community development lending department at a financial institution, or asset management department for an affordable housing owner or developer. The ideal candidate will have experience responding to typical asset management requests from borrowers, other lenders, and government agencies. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and manage systems for documenting loan and sponsor health, including risk rating systems. The ideal candidate has experience reviewing typical affordable housing financial statements for the purpose of determining property performance and calculation of net cash flow and residual receipts.

The Asset Management Team’s HCD Specialist's programmatic support duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Financial reviews of operating budget, capital improvement plans, and audited financial statements.
• Reviewing, calculating, and auditing cash flow analysis for portfolio assets.
• Preparing or providing oversight of loan interest calculations, loan balance audit confirmations, loan payoffs, and database maintenance.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

HCD Specialist II: Two years of experience in construction administration, building inspection, real estate appraisal, community development project coordination, economic development, or loan application preparation and processing.

HCD Specialist III: Three years of experience in a housing and community development program which has included responsibility for coordination of construction, financing, community development, or economic development projects.
