The Digital Media Manager is the lead writer and content strategist for the Office of Supervisor Paloma Aguirre. Position Duties:

Salary Range

The Assistant Director salary range is currently $178, 713.34 - $288, 700.62. Placement within this range will be dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the individual selected. Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.  A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: 

Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade. 

Experience: One (1) year of experience in construction, maintenance, and/or repair of parks and/or related facilities is desirable. 

Licenses and Certifications: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Class B Driver’s License by time of appointment; possession and maintenance of Qualified Applicator certificate issued by the State of California [7/11/25 NOTE - QUALIFIED APPLICATOR CERTIFICATE WILL BE REMOVED IN REVISED JOB DESCRIPTION].

Benefits Overview:

The City offers a healthy cafeteria benefits program including choices among plan options for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short and long-term disability. 

Retirement:  The City is a part of the CalPERS retirement plan and does not contribute to Social Security. Classic employees – 2% @55 formula, highest 3-year average compensation PEPRA employees – hired after 1/1/13 or Classic employees who have experienced a 6- month break in service are eligible for a 2% @ 62 formula, highest 3-year average compensation

Sick Leave: 96 hours of sick leave per year. 

Vacation: Employees can earn 120 hours a year

Holidays: 11 authorized holidays per year, plus 18 hours of floating holiday time.

Education and Wellness Reimbursement: Employees may request reimbursement for $2,000 of approved education expenditures; $1,000 of that amount may be spent on selected wellness benefits and items.

Union Membership: This position is non-exempt and is part of the Service Employees’ International Union (SEIU 1021).
