Sunnyvale is a dynamic city in the heart of Silicon Valley. Construction activities continue to grow with a wide range of project types, including tech manufacturing, hazardous occupancies, single-family residential, and multistory mixed-use, multifamily, and commercial buildings.

This position shares the responsibility of supervising 9 experienced inspectors with another Senior Building Inspector. The Building Division is a cohesive and supportive unit that helps each other navigate code compliance and enforcement issues.

The list established from this recruitment may also be used to fill future vacancies in the Community Development Department.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

The minimum qualifications for education and experience can be met in the following way:
An Associate's degree or 60 semester units or 90 quarter units in engineering technology, architecture, construction management or related field; AND
Four years of professional, full-time experience as a building inspector with a public agency, OR
Graduation from high school or tested equivalent; AND
Four years of professional, full-time experience as a building inspector with a public agency and two years as a licensed general contractor.

Licenses/Certificates:
Possession at time of hire and continued maintenance of a valid Class C California driver's license and a safe driving record.
Possession and continued maintenance of ICC Certifications:  Building Inspector (B1 and B2), Electrical Inspector (E1 and E2), Plumbing Inspector (P1 and P2), and Mechanical Inspector (M1 and M2).

The department is seeking to fill one (1) full-time Senior Power Resources Specialist position to support the Power Resources Division. This role reports to a Principal Power Resources Specialist and is part of a dynamic, fast-paced team responsible for procuring hundreds of megawatts of renewable energy projects, playing a key role in advancing the City’s clean energy goals.

The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of California energy markets and experience working with a variety of market participants, including renewable energy and storage developers, large energy trading firms, independent power producers, investor owned and municipal utilities, and CCAs. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and negotiation skills, experience in power trading and origination, or renewable energy development and contract management.

POSITION

To plan, organize and manage all activities and programs for a specified division of library operations or services, to include the supervision, coordination, promotion and evaluation of division program.  The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current vacancy in our Teen Programs within the Woodland Public Library, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.

Library Program Manager I: This is the entry level class in the professional library series. Assignments are generally limited in scope and within the design and procedural framework established by the Library Services Director. Library Program Manager II: This is the journey level class in the professional library series. Positions in this class are flexibly staffed and are normally filled by advancement from the lower class of Librarian Program Manager I, or when filled from the outside, require prior professional library work experience.  Appointment to the higher class requires that the employee be performing substantially the full range of duties for the class and meet the qualification standards for the class. Work in this class is distinguished from that of a Library Program Manager I by greater complexity of the assignments received and by greater independence with which an incumbent is expected to operate.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Develops and interprets division policies.
• Coordinates program planning and service delivery for the division.
• Develops and conducts programs which reflect the guiding principles of the Library and public librarianship.
• Develops and monitors collection development plan for division collection. Supervises the

Education
Library Program Manager I and II
Possession of a Master of Library Sciences Degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience

One (1) year experience supervising staff and/or developing/managing programs.

Library Program Manager II

A minimum of four (4) years' responsible experience in a professional librarian capacity, including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity and one (1) year of managing programs.

POSITION

To perform a variety of routine, non-hazardous and non-sworn law enforcement office and field work.  The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current vacancy in the Woodland Police Department, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.

The Ideal Candidate will have experience working in a law enforcement agency and/or have substantial professional experience with public interactions. Investigate routine crimes and prepare appropriate reports.  Assist with abandoned vehicle abatement.  Assist in special traffic control.  Respond to non-criminal calls for service. QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  High School diploma or equivalent.  Additional college course work or vocational training is highly desirable.

Experience:  Two (2) years of general administrative office work experience or one year of administrative office work in a law enforcement agency. Prefer experience with substantial public interaction.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years’ experience performing the full range of technical work in the areas of general accounting and auditing.  Responsibilities include:

• Accounts receivable/payable.
• Reconciling expenditure and revenue accounts including capital assets and long-term debt funds.
• Verifying availability of funds and classification of expenditures.
• Reconciling expenditure and revenue accounts, including land acquisition worksheets, capital assets, and long-term debt funds; reconciling bank statements.
• Assist in processing debt service obligations, including creating payment schedule, paying annual obligations, posting interest on bonds and notes from statement, updating liability balance, and posting journal entries.
• Review credit cards monthly and ensure that transactions are properly coded and approved.
• Providing technical assistance to the Accountant in preparation of the year-end audit.
• Review, post, balance, reconcile, and maintain accurate and confidential accounting and payroll records.
• Assist in gathering data and preparing monthly financial and statistical reports.
• Verify, post, and record a variety of financial transactions; prepare and maintain databases.
• Maintain a variety of ledgers, registers, and journals according to established accounting policies and procedures; reconcile transactions and account statements; record changes and resolve differences; maintain the accuracy of accounting and financial records.
• Report generation.
• Produce journal entries to post  to the general ledger,
• Accurately prepare employee and vendor payments for retirement and other benefits; submit reportable compensation to CalPERS and process payments; prepare Federal and State tax reports.

This is an advanced journey-level classification which requires the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.

Experience in public sector finance, with the knowledge of principles of governmental financial recordkeeping and bookkeeping, is highly desired.

Work Environment:  This position is part of Administrative Services at Midpen’s office in Los Altos, California.  Midpen offers a hybrid office/telecommute work schedule for this position.

Education and Experience:  any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: 

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade supplemented by college-level coursework in accounting or finance, and
• At least five (5) years in the maintenance of financial and accounting records.
• Experience in public sector finance, with the knowledge of principles of governmental financial recordkeeping and bookkeeping, is highly desired.

Licenses & Certifications Required:   Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.

The City of Dixon is excited to announce the recruitment for an Interim Public Works Director (Retired Annuitant) for a duration of 6-12 months. This interim appointment is a great opportunity for highly motivated individuals ready to expand and refine their Public Works career.

The Interim Public Works Director will play a critical leadership role during a period of elevated development activity and organizational transition. This position requires a hands-on leader who can maintain momentum on existing initiatives while advancing new priorities across Public Works, Engineering, and land development functions.

This is an exempt, at-will senior management position directly responsible to the City Manager.
