Camp Newark is seeking a confident, creative, and organized leader to serve as an Activity Coordinator for our dynamic summer camp program. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in high-energy environments and are passionate about creating meaningful experiences for youth ages 6–11. 

The Activity Coordinator plays a key leadership role in planning and delivering engaging daily programming while supporting and supervising camp staff. This position requires strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, along with the ability to create a fun, structured, and safe camp environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Create, schedule, and implement creative camp activities for youth ages 6–11, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and STEM-based enrichment. 

• Lead, mentor, and evaluate camp counselors, including training and delegating responsibilities. 

• Coordinate daily camp schedules, special events, and field trips. 

• Maintain clear and professional communication with parents regarding camper experiences and program information. 

• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants. 

• Support overall camp operations and assist with problem-solving as needed. 

This position requires working both indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced summer camp setting. 

WORK SCHEDULE 

Summer-only position (June – August) 

Monday–Friday 

30–35 hours per week 

Applicants should be available throughout the majority of the summer season, with limited vacation time (less than one week preferred). 

Interviews will take place through early May 2026. Virtual interviews are available for applicants away at school. 

REQUIREMENTS 

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Prior experience working with school-age children is required. 

• Must successfully pass a TB test prior to appointment (at candidate’s expense).

Candidates will work either for the Ash Street Summer program at Ash Street Park or Camp Newark at the Silliman Center.  Both positions require candidates to work in an outdoor environment.   

Work Schedule: Since this is a summer-only position, it is expected that applicants can work Monday-Friday with limited vacation time (less than one week) during the below program dates: 

Ash Street Summer Program: Monday-Friday: June 22-July 24, 10:30am – 3:30pm, no camp on July 3 

Camp Newark: Monday-Friday: June 8– July 31, 7:30 am – 4:15 pm, morning and midday shifts available.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The City of Woodland seeks a motivated public servant to join the City Manager's Office – Environmental Services Division as our Water Conservation Analyst Fellow. The Water Conservation Analyst will support key sustainability efforts by conducting a comprehensive analysis of municipal water usage and the City's response to leaks/over usage across public facilities. The Fellow will analyze five years of historical water consumption data to identify trends, anomalies, inefficiencies, and high-risk locations for water loss. A key focus of the project will be evaluating how the City currently tracks leaks and over-usage, how alerts are generated and routed, and how staff respond to those alerts. The Fellow will propose recommendations to improve leak detection, streamline response protocols, strengthen reporting systems, and reduce water waste supporting long-term water conservation goals.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The Ideal Candidate will be interested in sustainability, municipal operations and public policy. They will also be analytical and detail-oriented, preferably with experience working with large datasets. They will be comfortable cleaning, organizing, and interpreting utility data. An individual skilled in Excel and/or data tools such as GIS, Power BI, Tableau, R, or Python will excel in this role.

The Program Manager leads and participates in activities related to organizing program activities associated with the development and implementation of energy efficiency, conservation, renewable energy, and demand-side resource management programs for Pioneer customers. Duties include:

• Coordinating Programs Division activities with those of other division and outside agencies and organizations; coordinating use of staff time and resources with Director of Communications. 
• Researching, developing, and implementing various energy efficiency and conservation programs for residential, large and small retail commercial electric utility customers, tenant improvements, new residential construction, and retrofit projects; updating and modifying existing programs to make best use of new technology in response to customer needs and to reduce electric utility demands and operating costs.
• Assisting with designing energy efficiency and other demand-side management programs including developing metrics to gauge program success.
• Managing and implementing energy efficiency or other demand-side management programs.
• Providing feedback on the performance of staff involved in the implementation of energy efficiency, conservation, renewable energy, and demand-side resource management programs.
• Researching products to improve electric energy efficiency; reviewing electric industry and various market sectors for best practices; identifying new technology and products that are available to customers and meets the demographics of the community.
• Conducting research including surveys and analysis regarding public opinion about the value of and demand for energy efficiency programs.
• Researching and reviewing grant opportunities; completing and submitting grant application and administering grants; developing and implementing programs consistent with grant requirements.
