Yuba Water Agency is seeking a skilled, detail-driven Construction Inspector II to support major infrastructure projects that protect communities, enhance water reliability, and strengthen the region’s long-term resilience. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact public works—from dam safety improvements to hydropower facilities, and recreation facilities—while contributing to one of California’s most forward-thinking water agencies.

The Construction Inspector II plays a vital part in ensuring that Yuba Water Agency’s capital projects are built safely, accurately, and in full compliance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements. This position conducts daily field inspections, documents construction progress, verifies contractor work, and collaborates closely with engineers, project managers, and external partners. The work is hands-on, technical, and essential to delivering high-quality infrastructure that serves the people of Yuba County.
Some key initiatives you’ll work on:

• Dam Safety and Reliability Project                                                                                                          Inspection of spillway improvements, embankment work, instrumentation installations, and other critical dam-related construction.

DEFINITION: Under general supervision of the Youth and Teens Supervisor, the Preschool Instructor plans, organizes, and implements preschool programming for children ages 3-5 years old in the Kinder Cubs Preschool Program, our preparatory class for Transitional Kindergarten (TK.) Program hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30am – 1:00pm.  Approximately 20-23 hours per week including curriculum preparation time. Substitute and floating positions in other youth programs also available daily from 8:30am - 5:30pm. 

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

The following duties are essential to the success of this position:

• Knowledge and understanding of the appropriate curriculum to prepare preschoolers for Transitional Kindergarten (TK.)

• Ability to develop, coordinate, plan, implement and supervise the day-to-day activities, themes, and special events for an ongoing preschool classroom.

• Create and maintain a safe, challenging, and creative classroom environment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communicate effectively with co-workers, parents, and preschoolers.
• Supervise, direct, and motivate preschoolers as well as colleagues with a positive attitude.
• Maintain registration, attendance, and activity records; ensure the proper pick-up/drop-off of preschoolers. 
• Encourage good behavior, appropriate manners, and active play by both staff and preschoolers.

POSITION

To plan, organize and manage all activities and programs for a specified division of library operations or services, to include the supervision, coordination, promotion and evaluation of division program.  The purpose of this recruitment is to fill a current vacancy in our Teen Programs within the Woodland Public Library, as well as establish an eligibility list for future vacancies.

Library Program Manager I: This is the entry level class in the professional library series. Library Program Manager II: This is the journey level class in the professional library series. Positions in this class are flexibly staffed and are normally filled by advancement from the lower class of Librarian Program Manager I, or when filled from the outside, require prior professional library work experience.  Appointment to the higher class requires that the employee be performing substantially the full range of duties for the class and meet the qualification standards for the class. Work in this class is distinguished from that of a Library Program Manager I by greater complexity of the assignments received and by greater independence with which an incumbent is expected to operate.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Develops and interprets division policies.
• Coordinates program planning and service delivery for the division.
• Develops and conducts programs which reflect the guiding principles of the Library and public librarianship.
• Develops and monitors collection development plan for division collection. Supervises the
  collection development activities of other staff. Responsible for appearance and order of division collection.
• Supervises cataloging, classification, and processing of all library materials using ALA and LC principles and practices.
• Provides relevant training to professional staff, library technical assistants, pages, and volunteers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Library Program Manager I and II
Possession of a Master of Library Sciences Degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience

One (1) year experience supervising staff and/or developing/managing programs.

Library Program Manager II

A minimum of four (4) years' responsible experience in a professional librarian capacity, including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity and one (1) year of managing programs.

The City of Dixon is recruiting qualified Lifeguard/Swim Instructor I/II applicants for the 2026 Aquatic season.

Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor and Senior Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, Lifeguard/Swim Instructor performs a variety of duties to ensure the City of Dixon swimming pool is a safe and enjoyable aquatic facility. Supervises pool patrons, enforces pool rules, performs first aid and emergency rescues, instructs swim lessons, performs cashiering duties, leads recreational activities; performs related and other work as required.

Staff may be expected to work weekends and on fixed holidays.  Those who work on a City Holiday will earn 1 1/2 times their base hourly salary.

Wheatland is one of two incorporated cities in Yuba County. THE ORGANIZATION
The City of Wheatland operates under the Council/Manager form of government. The city is governed by five Councilmembers elected at-large, each serving four-year terms. The City Council appoints the City Manager and City Attorney. The City of Wheatland currently operates with a staff of 28 positions and provides a full array of municipal services including public safety, streets maintenance, parks, water and wastewater utilities, and administration. The city’s total budget for the current year is $11.1 million. 

ABOUT THE POSITION
 Under policy direction from the City Council, the City Manager serves as the chief executive officer for the City; The City Manager plans, manages, organizes and directs the overall administrative activities and operations of the City, develops and implements budget and financial strategies for the City and provides complex administrative support to the City Council. The City Manager develops and recommends policies, procedures, rules, and regulations governing City operations for presentation and approval from the City Council and ensures proper communication and implementation of policy decisions. This position directs the preparation of staff reports and agenda items and ensures that all City Council actions are properly recorded and implemented.
