Yuba Water Agency is seeking a skilled, detail-driven Construction Inspector II to support major infrastructure projects that protect communities, enhance water reliability, and strengthen the region’s long-term resilience. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact public works—from dam safety improvements to hydropower facilities, and recreation facilities—while contributing to one of California’s most forward-thinking water agencies.

The Construction Inspector II plays a vital part in ensuring that Yuba Water Agency’s capital projects are built safely, accurately, and in full compliance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements. This position conducts daily field inspections, documents construction progress, verifies contractor work, and collaborates closely with engineers, project managers, and external partners. DEFINITION: Under general supervision of the Youth and Teens Supervisor, the Preschool Instructor plans, organizes, and implements preschool programming for children ages 3-5 years old in the Kinder Cubs Preschool Program, our preparatory class for Transitional Kindergarten (TK.) Program hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30am – 1:00pm.  Approximately 20-23 hours per week including curriculum preparation time. Substitute and floating positions in other youth programs also available daily from 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Summary

Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled work in the pruning, care, and maintenance of trees and grounds maintenance, including chemical application duties

The Deputy Probation Officer I/II/III position in the Probation Department will investigate cases of juvenile delinquency or dependency and adult applicants for probation; supervise and counsel juveniles and adults on probation; prepares reports and recommendations for court. DESCRIPTION 

The Capital Improvement Division of the Public Works Department is seeking up to two motivated and capable individuals who can approach challenges with confidence and professionalism. Ideal candidates will have experience/background in civil engineering and utilities design and/or construction.  

The position may be filled as an Engineering Assistant, Engineering Associate, or Associate Engineer, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and certifications. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Prepare and oversee the preparation of  design plans and specification, construction documents, engineering studies and reports

• Participates in the preparation of periodic and regular financial reports and statements; prepares the Board Investment Report and other necessary financial forms and documents.

Based on the information provided in the application documents, those candidates with the most desirable qualifications will be invited to continue in the selection process.  Not all applicants meeting the minimum qualifications are guaranteed advancement through any subsequent phase of the examination.  Be sure to include all pertinent information regarding your education and experience.  Fill out the application completely; blank spaces may cause rejection; do not refer to resume.  Falsification or omission of material fact is cause for rejection, removal from the eligibility list, or dismissal.  Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application.  A cover letter and resumes must be submitted online as attachments with the fully completed application. Applications must be submitted online by the filing deadline, or when the listed number of applications are received, whichever occurs first.

Examination:  Candidate selection will be based on competitive examinations.  Test content will be related to the job.  A driver license will be requested for identification and admission to the testing area.  If there is more than one part to an examination, candidates must pass each part.  Candidates with passing scores will be asked to compete in successive parts of the examination.

• Written Test/Practical Exercise:  A written test and a practical exercise may be used, in addition to the appraisal interview.
• Appraisal Interview:  A job related appraisal interview will be conducted to evaluate and compare participating candidates’ knowledge, skills, and abilities in relation to those factors which job analysis has determined to be essential for successful performance of the job.
• After the Appraisal Interview, the top candidates will be invited to a staff interview.

          All applicants will receive a written response to their standing in the selection process.
