The Purchasing Division of the Finance Department offers unique career development and advancement opportunities in public sector procurement and contracting. The Division is responsible for the centralized procurement of equipment, supplies, materials, IT, and non-consulting services pursuant to the City of San José Municipal Code Title 4, Chapter 4.12. THE PROPERTY TAX DIVISION
The Property Tax Division of the County Controller's Office is responsible for computing tax rates based on assessed property values provided by the County Assessor, distributing property taxes to local taxing agencies and processing roll corrections and refunds. The Division also handles accounting for special districts.
