The City of Thousand Oaks has an exciting opportunity for a Building Inspection Supervisor in the Community Development Department. We are seeking a highly motivated and results oriented individual to supervise and lead staff in the enforcement of building, zoning, fire, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, housing and related codes and regulations governing the construction, alteration, repair and use of buildings and structures.
Under supervision on an assigned shift to extinguish fires and to participate in fire prevention activities in protecting life and property; respond to emergencies and administer advanced life support to sick or injured persons within the scope of Paramedic licensure and accreditation; operate and maintain fire trucks, ambulances, firefighting and rescue equipment; station maintenance and training activities in support of overall Department objectives and performs related responsibilities as required.

This mid-management class serves as a subject matter expert and program manager with responsibility for directing District staff and consultants in activities involved with natural resource management, environmental planning, regulatory compliance, fisheries monitoring, and stream restoration design and implementation.
