Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our team.
 

Senior Library Page

Filing Deadline: October 3, 2025
Salary: $23.3805 - $30.4172 per hour
Plus excellent health and retirement benefits, and 3% COLA increase in 2027.

Reporting to the Division Manager, the Senior Library Page is responsible for a variety of routine but essential library tasks. 

Key duties include:

  • Checking in and shelving library materials,

  • Mending and processing new or damaged items,

  • Sorting and shifting collections,

  • Shelf-reading, and maintaining organized and inviting displays,

  • Locating materials for patron holds,

  • Duplicating and weeding lists, and 

  • Accurately updating item records in the Library’s Integrated Library System (ILS).

In addition to core responsibilities, this position helps train new Library Pages and serves as a mentor to part-time Page staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. The Senior Library Page also assists library staff with special projects and events, and provides customer service support at the public desk as needed.

This role requires demanding physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Candidates must be able to push book carts weighing over 25 pounds and perform other physical tasks as needed. A full list of physical requirements can be found in the complete job description.

Schedule: This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. The regular schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  with possible evening hours, as needed. Flexibility and reliability are essential.

Ideal Candidate

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Education: High school degree or equivalent.
Experience: Equivalent of 1 year of full-time library experience. Experience working in a public, academic, or specialty library, as a Library Page or higher library-related position is highly desirable.
