Application Process

Interested candidates must submit a completed online employment application, cover letter, and resume through the CalOpps website at: https://www.calopps.org/city-of-pacifica

Only applications submitted online via CalOpps will be considered. Incomplete applications may not be reviewed. Note: Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application.

Examination and Selection Process

The selection process may include the following steps:

  • Oral Panel Interview – Qualified candidates will be invited to participate in a structured interview conducted by a panel of subject matter experts.Z
     
  • Department Interview – Top candidates from the oral panel will be invited to a final interview with the Human Resources Manager.

Following the interviews, a candidate who is identified for hire must successfully complete a City of Pacifica background check, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Department of Justice (DOJ) fingerprinting
  • Verification of prior employment
  • Reference checks

The City of Pacifica reserves the right to modify or adjust the examination and selection process based on operational needs.
