In this role, you’ll perform a variety of technical accounting duties—including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and reconciliations—while contributing to the financial integrity of our city operations.

POSITION DETAILS:
- Full-time regular position
- Option of 5/40 work schedule or 9/80 work schedule with alternating Monday or Friday off
- Salary Range:
- Accounting Technician I: $21.97 - $28.04
- Accounting Technician II: $24.41 - $31.15
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Accounting Technician I
Education/Training:
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
- Additional specialized training in accounting is desirable.
Experience:
- One year of accounting or related clerical experience is desirable.
- Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is desirable.
Accounting Technician II
Education/Training:
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in accounting.
Experience:
- One year of experience comparable to an Accounting Technician I with the City of Simi Valley.
- Experience performing accounting technician duties in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is desirable.
