Paid training provided — no prior dispatch experience required.POSITION DETAILS:
Salary Range: $26.51/hour + Excellent Benefits
- 3% Cost of Living adjustment increase effective 7/13/26
- 3% Cost of Living adjustment increase effective 7/12/27
NOTE: The City recently completed a compensation study comparing its salary ranges with those of other local agencies. As a result, 87% of salary ranges will be adjusted upward at various intervals. As ranges are adjusted, job postings will be updated to reflect these changes.
- Status: Full-time regular position
Work Schedule: 4/10 (four 10-hour shifts), rotating every four months
Requirements: Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Promotion Opportunity: Police Dispatcher at $29.96/hour with excellent benefits
Growth Potential: Up to $79,539/year ($38.24/hour)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
- Additional specialized training in communications or a related field is desirable.
Experience:
- Some emergency or non-emergency dispatch experience is desirable.
Special Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age as of the date of hire
- United States citizen or meet citizenship requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good moral character with no felony convictions
