The City of Simi Valley is seeking a highly skilled and motivated SCADA Systems Analyst to join our Sanitation and Waterworks Divisions. This critical role will coordinate and manage SCADA systems that support essential public utility operations, including waterworks, sanitation, and related infrastructure services. The successful candidate will leverage technology to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure reliable service delivery to our community. With responsibility for system design, configuration, maintenance, and data analysis, the SCADA Systems Analyst will play a key role in advancing the Division’s mission of providing safe, sustainable, and high-quality utility services.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Salary range: $113,865.64 - $146,464.03 annually with Excellent Benefits
- 3% Cost of Living Adjustment increase on 7/3/26
- Full-time regular position
- 9/80 work schedule with alternating Monday or Friday off
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education/Training:
- Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, information technology, business administration or a related field.
Experience:
- Five years experience designing, analyzing, programming, and supporting enterprise information systems, including two years experience managing complex information technology projects.
License or Certificate:
- Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) is desired.

- Possess knowledge of financial, asset management, and work order systems that leverage mobile devices, web portals, and GIS.
- Excel at project management, capable of leading multiple complex technology initiatives and driving change management strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across departments to translate operational needs into technology-driven solutions.
- Exhibit expertise in vendor management, contract negotiation, and system integration.
- Develop training programs, user documentation, and clear communication strategies to support staff adoption and maximize system performance.
