POSITION DETAILS:
- Salary range: $36.49 - $46.69 with Excellent Benefits
- 3% Cost of Living adjustment increase effective 7/13/26
- Generally, salary placement is at the beginning of the salary range
- Advanced placement may be granted depending on related education and experience

- Regular, Part-Time position - 30 hours/week
- Must be willing to work varied hours, including weekends, holidays, and/or evenings
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education/Training:
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college level course work in business administration, transportation planning or a related field.
Experience:
- Three years of increasingly responsible transportation administration experience.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate transit operations staff
- knowledge of fixed‑route and paratransit operations, including ADA requirements and industry best practices
- Experience in resolving customer complaints and service issues with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing public transit, including DMV commercial licensing and safety mandates
- Ability to investigate operational issues, analyze data, and recommend improvements to enhance service reliability and efficiency
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with operators, supervisors, contractors, and members of the public
- Ability to manage schedules, maintain accurate records, process time sheets, oversee ADA certifications, and handle operational documentation
- Experience coordinating vehicle maintenance needs and working closely with fleet or maintenance teams
- Confidence operating or overseeing commercial passenger vehicles and ensuring compliance with safety standards
- A customer‑focused mindset and dedication to providing safe, reliable, and accessible transportation services to the community
