POSITION DETAILS:
- Salary range: $22.73 - $29.03 with Excellent Benefits
- 3% Cost of Living adjustment increase effective 7/13/26
- 3% Cost of Living Adjustment increase effective 7/13/27
- Generally, salary placement is at the beginning of the salary range.
- Advanced placement may be granted depending on related education and experience.
- Regular, Full-Time position
- Schedule consists of 4 10-hour days, typically working Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday.
- May require occasional work on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education/Training:
- Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training in criminal justice, police forensics, or a related field.
Experience:
- One year of police support or similar experience is desirable.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and abilities:
- Strong customer service and communication skills,
- Ability to stay professional and calm in routine and high‑stress situations.
- Attention to detail when writing reports, issuing citations, and documenting information.
- Good judgment and awareness when responding to collisions, emergencies, and calls for service.
- Ability to learn and use law enforcement systems such as records management, CAD, and Live Scan.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Integrity and discretion when working with confidential or sensitive information.
- Ability to collaborate with sworn officers, professional staff, and outside agencies.
- Ability to perform fieldwork such as parking enforcement, traffic control, equipment setup, and vehicle abatement.
