POSITION: The City of Fremont opens their Winter Shelter every winter to provide a safe and welcoming environment for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Participants have access from approximately 6:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., where they will be provided with a warm meal, restroom facilities, sleeping bags, cots, Breakfast, and a to-go bag. The Winter Shelter is open from mid-November to mid-March. The Human Services Department is currently recruiting for Winter Shelter monitors for next season (2019/2020).

The position will work up to 30 hours per week.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

• Maintain the health and safety of homeless individuals and families who are living on the streets or in their cars and are in need of emergency shelter from cold weather and rain.
• Welcome and pre-screen new participants and supervise participant movement.
• Maintain a friendly and inviting environment.
• Work compassionately with those who have di?culty engaging with service providers.
• E?ectively resolve conflicts among participants and de-escalate potentially violent situations.
• Monitor participant activities, oversee showers and food distribution; help coordinate medical transportation to morning appointments.

• Direct volunteers who will assist in bringing food and serving homeless clients.
• Setup tables for food service, hand out bedding, warm clothing and other amenities such as shampoo, tooth brushes, etc.
• Ensure participants adherence to rules, especially related to behaviors that are unsafe. If necessary, notify public safety personnel to help “exit” clients with inappropriate or unsafe behaviors.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Maintain daily sign-in sheet.
• Ensure facility is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
• E-mail information to Human Services Director after each shift regarding the number of participants, any need for supplies, and reports of clients who exhibited inappropriate behavior.

The City of Albany is currently looking for a part-time (15-25 hours per week) Recreation Projects Assistant to assist the Recreation & Community Services Department with a variety of programs and events.

JOB SUMMARY

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for two (2) special individuals to serve as a Clinical Wellness Advocate I/II/IIIs for the Children’s Full Service Partnership (FSP) Program. The Clinical Wellness Advocate I/II/III positions will appeal to individuals who are passionate about working with children with moderate to severe behavioral health concerns.  This position is a field-based position in which incumbents will be required to meet with clients in their homes, at schools, shelters, etc.  The Clinical Wellness Advocate I/II/III will report to a Program Supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under supervision of the Information Technology Manager, the Information Technology Technician position supports programs and activities related to the City’s technology and telecommunications operations and systems. This includes performing basic computer related duties such as analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical operational problems for desktop computers, peripherals, and networks; providing informal training to users on system implementation and operations; performing other related duties as assigned by supervisor. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS   

• Respond to all information technology help desk requests and provide a full range of assistance and help to system and equipment users in the role of help desk expert.

  including client/server, desktop computer and networks.

COMPENSATION

OTHER INFORMATION
Part-Time/Temporary/Seasonal employees are non-benefited, at-will positions. Since the City does not participate in Social Security and is required to provide an alternative retirement plan, you are required to participate in the City's defined contribution retirement plan through Nationwide where 3.75% of your gross compensation per pay period is deducted and put into the plan. The City matches this 3.75% for a total contribution of 7.5% of your gross compensation per pay period.

THE POSITION

Tri-City is looking for one individual to serve as an Occupational Therapist for the Child and Family Clinic.
