PUBLIC SERVICE ASSISTANT II - RED LIGHT VIOLATION COORDINATOR
(Part‐time, temporary assignment)
Under direct supervision of the Traffic Enforcement Project Specialist, the Public Service Assistant II will perform administrative tasks in support of the Police Department Red Light Camera Unit. The position may work up to 20 hours a week. This position is fast paced, with several duties which are time sensitive.

DEFINITION: The Cadet Program is designed to introduce recent high school graduates (ages 18 to 24) to a law enforcement career and to prepare them for entry into the Police Academy. Under direct supervision, the Cadet position performs a wide variety of police support duties and clerical assistance for the Fontana Police Department.

DEFINITION: Under supervision, drives the City’s 7-15 passenger van(s) and provides responsible, safe transport for senior citizens and the physically disabled. Schedule may include evenings, holidays and weekends; work schedule will not exceed 28 hours per week.
The Redwood City Police Department is currently accepting applications for Per-Diem COMMUNICATIONS DISPATCHERS. Using a sophisticated Computer Aided Dispatch terminal, the Communications Dispatcher receives emergency calls from within the public requesting police, fire, medical, or other emergency service; determine priority, and dispatch police, fire, ambulance, or other emergency units as necessary and in accordance with established procedures.
Under general supervision, the Public Safety Specialist – Dispatch , as a member of the Police Department, transmits and receives information over the police and public works radio system; dispatches routine and emergency calls for service; types, records, and files information; handles emergency and non-emergency telephone calls utilizing complex technical aids, such as computer aided dispatch systems (CAD), and performs related work as assigned.
