The Department is recruiting for part-time, unbenefited Lifeguard and Instructor Lifeguard positions in the Recreation and Neighborhood Services Division (RNS) for the summer seasonal Citywide Aquatics programming.
Position: The City of Orinda is looking for responsible, courteous individuals who enjoy working outdoors, can work independently of supervision and have experience dealing tactfully and effectively with members of the public. The successful applicants will work in a part-time capacity with a schedule including normal business hours as well as evening and weekend hours. Our City’s mission is to provide excellent service in a fiscally responsible manner and to promote a safe, healthy and vibrant community.
$14.00 - $17.02/hr.

DEFINITION: The Cadet Program is designed to introduce recent high school graduates (ages 18 to 24) to a law enforcement career and to prepare them for entry into the Police Academy. Under direct supervision, the Cadet position performs a wide variety of police support duties and clerical assistance for the Fontana Police Department.
$20.50 - $25.60 per hour – depending upon experience

LIFEGUARD AND SWIM INSTRUCTOR
Salary: $16.97 - $17.81 (depending on experience and certifications)
Must be at least 15 years old and have the ability to obtain a work permit, if under the age of 18. Applicants must have completed and passed the Lifeguard Training class that includes CPR, FPR, and AED by June 1, 2021. WSI (water safety instructor) is highly recommended.
