The City of Chowchilla is accepting applications for the position of Information Technology Systems Administrator. Under general supervision, the position is a computer-related professional level class responsible for establishing system standards, assisting in the development of long range technology plans, and facilitating day-to-day operations of the City’s computer network, telephone systems, and professional mission-critical public safety spectrum RF communications systems.
Under general direction, the Systems Analyst maintains and deploys the city’s information technology infrastructure, which includes the servers, software, databases, cloud services, and network and communication infrastructure. In addition, acts as a second level support for complex help-desk issues.
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Under general direction, the Web and Database Administrator coordinates the design, development, programming, and maintenance of the City’s Internet and Intranet web sites; maintains on premise and cloud databases and related services, including the security, effectiveness, efficiency, appeal and troubleshooting of databases; and develops databases and/or web applications that are in compliance with applicable city government requirements, standards and best practices.
