The Department of Public Works Technology Services Section is recruiting to fill multiple Geographic Systems Specialist I/II (GSS I/II) positions on the Enterprise GIS Team. These are data-focused positions that will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and ensuring the integrity of enterprise GIS datasets as well as providing ongoing support for Enterprise GIS activities and development of technology solutions that maximize the delivery of City products and services.  The individuals selected for these positions will work primarily in the production group of the Enterprise GIS Team. Under the direction of a Senior Geographic Systems Specialist, the incumbents will perform the key responsibilities listed below:

• Utilize Geographic Information System (GIS) and associated software to produce, display, and analyze geographic information.
• Create and maintain enterprise GIS datasets using versioning and Workflow Manager. Interpret resources such as engineering plans, assessor’s maps, and discrepancy report to enter graphic and attribute data into GIS while maintaining data integrity.
• Perform quality assurance of GIS data and associated graphic components.
• Use SQL queries to produce weekly reports on the status of plans and other documents received.
• Use ETL (extract, transform, and load), Model Builder, or scripting tools to design and create GIS processes.
• Assist with troubleshooting problems encountered in GIS production work.
• Develop workflows and documentation for various GIS tasks.
• Develop geospatial products, including maps and other products as required.
• Respond to requests for GIS data, analysis, or reports as directed using appropriate GIS tools and following City protocol.
• Coordinate intern training and work assignments.
• Work under supervision of a project manager or senior team member.

DEFINITION
To plan, organize and coordinate implementation of multiple database systems on a City-wide basis; to perform highly complex database design and administration duties; and to provide technical and functional supervision over professional staff.
 
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
The Senior Database Analyst is the advanced journey level in the Database Analyst class series.  Positions at this level are distinguished from other classes within the series by the level of responsibility assumed, complexity of duties assigned, independence of action taken, by the amount of time spent performing the duties, and by the nature of the public contact made.  Employees perform the most difficult and responsible types of duties assigned to classes within this series and provide technical and functional supervision over professional and technical personnel.

About the Position

Under general supervision, performs custodial duties related to the care and cleaning of assigned facilities; opening and closing various City facilities; performs a wide variety of duties for events, classes, and programs, including but not limited to, set-up and tear-down of tables, chairs, equipment and supplies; provides custodial and operational support in a lead capacity when assigned, performs, minor maintenance and repairs; and performs related work as required.  This position is primarily assigned to the Adult Community Center but may be required on occasion to perform facility attendant duties at other City locations.

The City of Half Moon Bay will host an internship position within the Communications / City Clerk Department.

About the City

The City of Half Moon Bay is a Bay Area coastal community of approximately 12,500 residents and is located 25 miles south of San Francisco. The City is governed by a five-member elected City Council and utilizes the council-manager form of government. The City Council appoints a City Manager who is responsible for the oversight of daily operations and provides leadership for the City’s programs. About the Department

The Communications / City Clerk Department is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and innovative individual interested in sharpening their skills to learn how municipal government operations function. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in enhancing their knowledge and experience in city administration, local government, and community engagement. The successful candidate will also learn how to maintain contracts, agreements, and other legislative actions, as well as, gain knowledge on inner workings of policy and accurate record keeping. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to assist in outreach, digital media, and other communications initiatives.  Through mentorship and under general supervision, the successful candidate will be responsible to complete specific projects and a variety of ongoing assignments to help develop their knowledge and skills. Some of the various projects and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with Social Media content and monitoring
• Assist in the development of community outreach programs and events
• Assistant with legislative advocacy tracking and grant applications
• Assist with records management projects and related tasks

ABOUT THE POSITION

The City of Gilroy is recruiting for an Information Technology Applications Analyst, a position in the Information Technology Division of the Finance Department. The goal of the Information Technology Division is to provide high quality technology-based services in a cost-effective manner to facilitate the city’s mission of quality services to the community.  The Information Technology Applications Analyst will work cooperatively with staff to identify software system needs and develop, evaluate, and recommend technological solutions required to achieve the city’s objectives including the maintenance and upgrade of application software systems and data processing.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under general supervision of the Information Technology Director, administers and supports citywide software applications, databases along with web development. This position will serve as an IT project manager for all software related projects. This position will also assist the IT division in the management and direction setting for the enterprise's application programming group including setting priorities, coordinating, interfacing with vendors and preparing technical reports and management communication. The person in this position will be responsible for, but not limited to, such duties as designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting the core City applications which include Intranet and Internet web sites. THE POSITION

The HHSA Mental Health Counselor, Senior (HHSA MHC, Senior) II/III position at the Glenn County Health and Human Services Agency performs a variety of complex professional duties in the provision of Substance Use Disorder Services in the Behavioral Health Division. The HHSA MHC, Senior III is distinguished from the HHSA MHC, Senior II by the advanced level and supervisory classification in the HHSA MHC, Senior series. The position will exercise a high degree of independent work activity, judgment, and communication in order to achieve specific goals identified by the Department Leadership Team. The duties of this position fall outside the routine duties providing direct behavioral health services and instead utilizes extensive working knowledge and experience of clinical practice to inform and improve departmental efficiency and quality of service. Typical areas of work focus may include, but are not limited to: clinical services, clinical supervision, utilization review and compliance monitoring. This position may be assigned to lead or supervise other professional staff and two years of post-licensure experience is preferred. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week. This recruitment may be used to establish a list to fill future vacancies for the next twelve (12) months.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Experience:      

II - Two years of professional experience in the provision of psychiatric social services, counseling or substance abuse counseling.

III- Meet minimum qualifications by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (1870-1874, of Title 16 of the CA Code of Regulations) to supervise associate clinical social workers and associate marriage and family therapists to include: Licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences for at least two years prior to commencement of supervision.  Have practiced psychotherapy or directly supervised associate clinical social workers, or associate marriage and family therapists or trainees, who perform psychotherapy as part of their clinical practice, in two of the past five years immediately preceding the commencement of supervision.

Training:           

II/III - Master’s degree in psychology, behavioral science, social work or related area.

License or Certificate:   

II/III - Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license. 

II/III - Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist license.
